Heres my issues, everbody treats matchmaker like it some how knows you and other players actual skill. Like the assigned MMR on a player is correct. Yet its the end goal of matchmaker to find your skill, that's the goal of it not the start point. Its Elo, its built to be self correcting on misassinged skill to mmr over time, that requires people to put in matches. More matches more RNG gets removed more accurate the assigned mmr to actual skill becomes.
The LP system, Tiers, they have less meaning then mmr, they are a shiny distraction, its a feel good system. Im a 1500 player does not sound as good as some one saying IM GOLD SUCKA! The LP gains are intentionally set to not be as rapid as MMR changes, They do change some if mmr is to high or low, and riot has built in catch up points to close the gap when MMR to Divison becomes to wide, but those points still need to be triggered (promotions or demotions)
Please folks understand that for ELO to work, you take a set number, that's the starting point for the average player, you do this so that the majority of players get put near a level of their skill as rapidly as possible, that takes care of your majority player base. You take some MMR from players who lose and Add mmr to the folks who win, this way when some one goes up on ladder some one else moves down. You cant generate to much extra MMR ontop of this or your going to push the player base up or down, moving them away from what's considered the majority skill. The outliers, the above or below skill, they have to grind Growth, the larger the gap in their skill to assigned mmr the more rapid their movement should be, their MMR grows in one direction rapidly. For the most part a Team ELO system should require some hundred games to really start getting accurate for any given player, thou the closer to the starting point a players skill the more games they will play at their skill level.
This is important because what it means is that mismatched players have a huge impact in matches the system assumes a majority of players exist at, The players assigned skill is accurate, the system has them at their level properly so matches are going to be decided more often by Bad or Strong players rather then the properly valued guy. There's a reason so many players in silver get frustrated with it. The best solution I know for this is that you take the # of games played as a factor in your system when your building matches, put more vetran players in a league vs other vets and lower the # of low game players on each team. Odds are riot does this already but a lot of folks just don't have enough matches played to be considered a vet, and that their que time program will lower the closes ness of Games played to make a faster match when needed just the way it will widen the gap between individual player MMR for a match.
So, its reasonable to see this guy at bronze 3, its quite likely their MMR will get low enough they might just instantly be dropped to b5, given that they are not only a TERRIBLE player (missing CS, used Tibbers to farm, Faild to trade over and over.) They also have a short fuse bad temper, rage, tilt, feed and int. This is a player I would expect to see a Ban on well before they hit the bottom of the barrel b5 0 lp.
What exactly are you trying to prove here other then you don't understand how Elo systems work?
