I think, and I could be wrong, the OP is referring to custom games with bots.

Playing solo vs bots is such a nice and easygoing way to explore champs. This way, you can play an endless amount of time and switch builds as the game goes along. Riot obviously removed this possibility and suggested options, which doesn't do the same:

• In Co-Op you can basically only queue with people, who often stress about scores and tend to finish fast in those games, when players realise they won't get the top score. That's hardly a nice environment for exploring champs, since it becomes slightly stressful.

• In Battle Training you can only pick Ashe and Garen and can't pick runes or masteries... Like seriously?

If the reasoning behind removing custom is to lower server load, why can't you make single vs bots an offline thing? I bet I speak for many people when I say, that you removed something valuable.
