Rotating Game Mode Idea: FFA Deathmatch
I was thinking of how awesome it would be to have an FFA deathmatch mode, and I thought i'd write about that here.
10 player FFA, maybe 15 player FFA, on the ascension map or something like it (fairly large, hp packs, plenty of bushes/different kinds of areas to fight in that give different opportunities to different champions).
I think it'd be a sort of "independent" blind pick, where players can unknowingly select and be the same champion. (Side note: 10 player FFA Yasuo only custom game anyone?)
I think that there would need to be some passives enabled on the map, perhaps ones very similar to the Dark Moon game mode. Mana regeneration out of combat, ult timer shorter, perhaps reduced early game healing, limitations on amount of traps
Optional: -HP packs are few and far in-between, but grant 50% life/mana/cool down refresh -7 Second invulnerability upon spawn, canceled upon moving -Can buy items at any place at any time -What do you think about teams/partnerships? No more than two players can partner up in the 10 player game, three player teams in the 15 -Victory is awarded by total points as opposed to total kills; obstacles, minions, and missions will be added (giant mega boss appears on the random part of the map several minutes in and grants a buff and points to its killer- much like asc) -Item restrictions and champion restrictions; is it a problem if there's a megatank darius in play? - Personally I don't think so, but there is a threat of the game quickly devolving into 5 people going Jax, and 6 Warwicks.. -Summoner skills 50% cool down reduction -Global 20% cool down reduction granted, 60% max.
Whadd'yall think? Sounds like it could be a blast, right?
