Irelia is way too strong

Alright, lets begin

About me: Diamond 4 Camille one-trick for the past 2 seasons, peaking diamond 1 last season

I played against irelia again, and my god this champion is just ridiculous. I first blooded her at level 4, came back to lane with a sheen + dblade versus her corrupting pot + ruby crystal.

We both hit level 6, and I all-in her. At the time, we are both full hp, with her passive at 0 stacks. I am running PTA + ignite, she is running conqueror with 0 stacks + tp. Can you guess what happens? I stun her, dodge her stun, I do get hit by her ult, however, I dodge one of her Q's with my ult, negating her Q reset. What happens next? Oh, she kills me while having about half of her health left over.

What gives?? In what world can a champion be allowed to miss 2 of their vital skills, and OUT-DAMAGE A FED CAMILLE WHO HAS IGNITE???

This champion is a complete joke and needs to be fixed.

Can we please talk about how strong cammile is

Are people still one-tricking with Arcane Comet, or is she back to a more traditional keystone?

There are some Camilles who swear their life to comet. However, a few Camilles and I are running PTA and cheesing free wins because people do not expect the burst from PTA early game.

In what world is Camille strong when irelia, who is behind in gold and misses two key skills, can 1v1 camille?

Additionally, Camille has been out for much longer. I'm not the best Camille, but my mechanics are quite good I reckon. Irelia, on the other hand, is fairly new, so players have not even mastered her yet. There is no reason why I lost that fight considering the circumstances.

You took out half her hp?? Wtf Camille needs a nerf

I literally wrecked an Irelia in the mouth the other day as freaking attack-speed Nocturne, lol. She's fine.

You are mid silver, OP is mid diamond. Do you think that the Irelia's skill level might have something to do with why you did fine?

Not really? However I also think Irelia is easily managed. Well, not easily, but I actually prefer fighting this version than I did the infinitely healing stunbot that she was.

Eh. Nasus has always been Nasus though. He really hasn't changed much. He just didn't fit into the Meta for a long time.

High skill cap champion vs relatively easy champion in silver seems pretty weighted in Nocturne's favor. As for "which Irelia is better to play against" I do agree this one is fairer, but she is still pretty overbearing. A few number tweaks and I think that she can be perfectly fine.

Indeed. She does smack rather hard for how tanky she can still build. If they just raised her stun CD, honestly, I'd be happy.

Verl0h1 votes

When in doubt, Nasus? Also, Irelia took Conqueror. The problem was that Camille didn't kill her quickly enough with Press The Attack, and Conqueror outscaled later into the fight.

The issue isnt the keystone. The issue is that I had TWO items over her (doran blade + sheen versus c.pot + ruby crystal), and she missed two of her key skills (Q and E stun).

1+1=4 to you apparently

Every rank plays this game, so every rank must be taken into account when it comes to balance. If Irelia is fine in low elo, but too strong in high elo, we need to know so we can talk about nerfs that specifically target her high elo play.

Don't discount him just because of his rank.

Ah an idealist, let me know when you realize that you can't have a game balanced at every elo. Shoot, getting it balanced at high elo would be a great start. Then every one could have a reasonable expectation as they improve at the game.

I already know it can't be balanced at every elo, however when something that is blatantly unbalanced shows up you can try to use targeted nerfs. Just look at Riot's reasoning behind the removal of Ornn's Unstoppable, rather than changing his damage numbers.

It's a better course of action than being an asshole to everyone below X ranking.

I highly disagree that it is "being an asshole to everyone below X ranking" to try to balance the game around skilled players. It really doesn't take much effort to become good at this game. So anyone who doesn't put in even that fairly low amount of effort really shouldn't be taken seriously for balance decisions.

That is more for established champions. For new champions, it is better to start from the top down because the higher brackets are more likely to adapt and learn how to play with and against a champion faster than lower tiers. Irelia's performance in silver now is hardly representative of what it would be like in silver 4-5 months from now without any changes.

That isn't to say her performance in diamond now is accurate either as she will likely be better in a few months when players get better with her but the difference won't be as great.

It's all relative

Hard champion in unskilled hands will likely under perform compared to an easy champion in unskilled hands.

There are other factors at play to be considered as well. it's all relative

I didn't say it was entirely down to elo, but it certainly is a big indicator.

Do you think that the Irelia's skill level might have something to do with why you did fine?

Now do you have a point, or are you just arguing to argue?

getting first blood doesn't make you fed it means you got a kill fighters don't auto lose to another fighter after 1 death, and you're refusing to point out how many times you fucked up in the fight because your mad that your bad and want the champion that got hotfixed nerfed within a day or two of her release,to be nerfed because you weren't good enough to press an advantage.[sg-lulu]
