No. The support job is absolutely not to split push.

No. The support job is absolutely not to split push.

the job of the support is to do whatever they can to help the team win, if you go bot lane with the cannon minion and use item 3060 item 3512 to create a super wave that will pressure their inhib turret creating pressure that the enemy team has to respond to typically the adc then your team can siege top take baron or whatever else. so by "split pushing" you are helping your team and that is your sole job as a support.

You are not physically split pushing when you use item 3060 and item 3512 Yorick needs to be physically there in order to split push with his ghoul and ult.

A support should be with their team.

i dont disagree once again we find out selfs at different views on topics.... however if you are helping your team and not being a liability then you arent hurting them if u roam for 15 secs.... of course u dont do it when there is fights... ect... but me standing next to my team where people are doing nothing but shoving out waves ect or taking jungle creeps isnt benefiting me , if i can get some solo exp or gold and help create pressure then i am helping team. its all about what is going on in the game at the time you do something...

I tried it. Was definitely sub-optimal. We've made it so he can raise his ghouls slightly better near teammates now, though. Even still, your Marksman is going to be pretty sad. Condemn into Dark Procession can be fun, but outside of that interaction you're not giving great peel or other utility to your allied laner.

One of the drawbacks of this rework. Now, Yorick is strictly a top lane split-pusher (No support or jungle possible) that is subject to the fickle whims of the live balance team.

If Meddler decides that he hates split pushing one patch, Yorick gets Olaf'd, the rework gets wasted and riot laughs at all the bandwagon people who bought Yorick for the rework.

Wouldn't it work much the same way supp Darius does?

If the enemy goes ham on your adc, you go ham on them. They can't kill your partner if they're dead ^_^

Relic isn't going to be up enough to raise ghouls while the ADC is trying to farm. Not raising ghouls takes a large chunk of power out of Yorick's kit. Outside of his circle (that is destructible) and his slow, Yorick brings nothing to support his fellow laner. A gold starved split pusher is a dead split pusher in most circumstances.

I have played supp Yorick, it works ok for normal games to some degree, but it definitely doesnt work for ranked alternative. Yorick is mainly a selfish champion, with little to no utility. Playing him on the support role cripples the ADC, which requires farm, utility and protection. Maybe there is just a few ADCs which are partially exception to the rule and would endure such combo. Splitpushing on the other hand is far from what support should do. This will deny your team a whole lane to earn gold of. Supports idea is to be efficient without the need of taking portion of the available gold in terms of farm and leave more for their team

it works cuz its unexpected and no one see yorick on a regular basis. but in rank anything above silver if it works the other players should uninstall. lol
