Silver 5 Looking for Advice

Hey, so I've been playing League of Legends since about Season 4 (whichever Wriggle's Lantern was big in) and it wasn't until last season that I started playing Ranked. I got to Silver 1, and then stopped playing due to a particularly bad losing streak. Since then I've been trying to learn as many champs as possible, not to be a fill main, but so that I at least understand what every champ does.

My most successful roles tend to be mid and top (Annie and Akali being my two personal best). What... champions should I learn to be the most successful and flexible, I guess, as far as team comp goes. Also which mid laners have "Hard Engage" if my team is lacking it?

I would say that akali is a good champion if you learn to jungle with her well. I wouldn't take her into lane to gain elo though as many smurfs will dominate you in lane even if u are a god akali. She is in need of a rework pretty badly tbh.

As for tips to climbing, I would say that you have a pretty good knowledge of the champion base at this point, you should try to one trick pony or two trick pony one or two lanes (i.e. 2 champs in 2 roles or my personal fav 1 champ in 1 role)

Try to be open to trying out new keystones on each champion you try to 1-trick (i.e. you will notice that getting thunderlords on brand isn't as good as getting deathfire touch in the support role and in mid > deathfire gives greater damage to brand throughout the game). Use websites like 'league of graphs . com' to find out what the highest win % for certain runes and masteries are and try a couple different combinations until you are getting S/S+ every game you play.

To start out try the website 'pro builds.net' and find what the pros use on ur fav champs. Copy them.

typically your mid laners arent gonna have "hard engages" they are ranged mages with poke and some cc. if you are trying to lead the engage on a team as an ap mage then your jungler,top,support arent doing what they should be ( based on comp)
