Ranked Demotions when players AFK/RageQuit

Look riot. I never EVER complain about rank even though I am a low elo player. I have been playing this game for years and accept that I am probably a silver player. Fine I accept it but still strive to become a better player. Now here is my issue.

Why am I penelized for when a player AFKs? I still lose the maximum amount of LP and when I win its always less than a loss. Seriously this has got to be changed. I have lost so much LP due to players AFKing. Can we do something the lessen this? Maybe just half LP loss? Because It happens often enough that it becomes VERY difficult to rank up even into the next bracket. But when you start going on a losing streak you can lose 2-3 levels like nothing.

Because the enemy team is less likely to have an afker / rage quitter than you are.

You account for one player on your team of five, which means that (so long as you do not) there are only four potential ragers. The enemy team has five, which means that you have a leg up.

Generally if a player AFKs the game is pretty done anyways. Not that I condone afking, but that's pretty much the reality of it.

I promise you, you've beaten as many AFK enemies, as you have lost with AFK teammates. Ik its tilting, but just keep pushing forward. Take the good with the bad(Free wins vs free losses)

Last 3 games I get 2 AFKs 1 left at start of mach 1 fed 4 kills then left So riot? Can we please do something about these games? Please for the love of League?!

Honestly guys. i will lose more than 90% of the AFK games. With that 1 game were we actually win a 4v5. (it has happened) Yes I have had games when the enemy team has a leaver. But it does not happen often enough to justify the LP loss/Gain.

Thats why I am asking for some type of stop loss of some sort. losing only 50% LP rather than the full amount. This can easily be done if a player that afks gets like a 5x report or more. Then this can trigger the AFK LP decrease in LP. It wont hurt as much when you lose. I know sometimes people have emergency or have connection issues, we all have had it. But this is no reason to punish 4 other players who are investing time to play ranked games. It just seems too much of a penalty. Win 17 LP lose 20?! You see where I am getting at?

If you want only 50% loss when a teammate goes afk, you will have to accept a 50% gain when an enemy goes afk.

Win 17 and lose 20 is because your current rank is higher than your MMR says you should be at and has nothing to do with afks.

Just played another 3 and another AFK :) Still no AFK on enemy teams :) Riot is out to get me. Even after I spent money on them. LOL thanks riot.
