Autofill Opt-in

Just as the title says I'd like an option to be introduced to draft modes for Autofill to be optional. I'd rather wait a thousand years for a game than be forced into a role I don't want to play. As the system is now, I just make a game and as soon as I see autofill enabled I just close the game and go play something else, sorry if this comes out as a rant or something like that but it actually pisses me off, if it's normal blind and I don't get to call the role I want, then Fine, but when my LP is on the line I'd like to be able to play the lanes I feel the most confortable/enjoy the most. Thank you for your time and again sorry for the rant

I swear, you people are like spoiled children. Riot does preferred roles for 1 Season and suddenly it's like all the Seasons before that are non-existent. You know, back when everytime you queue up for ranked, you didn't know what role you were gonna get. Now, you people just cry like "ranked is unplayable if I don't get my role every game," or "but I don't wanna play insert role."

Like get outta here with all that bull. People had no problem climbing before preferred roles were introduced, so don't use auto-fill as an excuse for you not being able to climb.

Also, why are you posting from a level 11 account?

It has nothing to do with my ability to climb the ladder rather with my desire to play the game. I managed to get plat 3 with my main account which is more than what I needed to get the seassonal rewards but when I'm bored and I feel like playing I'd like to play the lane I want. That's all

I actually liked the old system. It felt like more of a test of how skilled you were as a player and not just how well you could one-trick one or two roles.

If you wanted to go anywhere in the old system, you had to be able to play every role at a high skill level. In season 6, you ended up with a bunch of plat/diamond players who play like they're silver when they get anything other than their main role.

You should be grateful that you even have to option to select preferred roles, even if you get autofilled once in a while. But no, if you don't get what you want every game, it's not good enough.

Like I said, spoiled children.

You realize people play this game for fun right? That for 99% of players it's simply something to do for fun with their free time.

Forcing players into a role they don't find fun is a good way to lose them. The old system was changed because it forced people into roles they didn't want to play, so alot of people moved onto things that were fun.

Maybe that makes them spoiled, but who cares. People will do what they have fun doing, and will likely not care if people like you call them spoiled for it.

For fun huh? I'll use that excuse next time I play ADC Karma and lose some guy his promos. "I play this game for fun."

If you are just playing for fun, go play normals. Auto-fill shouldn't be a thing in normal draft, that, I can agree with. Queue times are much faster than ranked and norrmals are meant to be just for fun. But, just because you don't mind sitting in queue for 30min just to get your role doesn't mean that everyone feels the same way.

Also, League's old system wasn't the reason people were leaving. Don't know who told you that. League reached the peak of it's popularity using the old system. The only time a large number of people quit League over the ranked system was with Dynamic Queue.

Your definition of fun and mine are two different things when it comes to League.

Yes your last sentence sums it up very well. You have fun autofilling apparently, I do not. I enjoy playing ranked but I don't enjoy playing the support role, so I will gladly dodge those games and save myself 30+ mins of not having fun so I can rejoin the queue in 5 mins and have fun playing a role I do like :).

the champion pool arguement is dated and foolish, seeing as how im not required by anything to purchase toplaners or supports unless i want to. so by pushing me into a role i dont have champions for is detremintal

A better option would be to remove in all queues other than ranked flex and solo in Diamond+. Having an opt in feature would result in it being disabled everywhere essentially.
