I am trying to come up with my own builds, but I don't know indepth on how some of the masteries work. Where can I find a site with their formulas and discussions on the topic?
For example: Block 2/2 reduces all damage from champion back attacks by 2. This seems like a very small and insignificant number compared to say Enchanted armor. Why would anyone choose this mastery?
ToughFluffs1 votesTo get better masteries? Also enchanted armor is only a percent of your bonus armor, for one. Armor also gives you less and less resistance as you get more and more. In other words, lets say you have 100 armor, and it blocks 50% of physical damage (Not necessarily actual numbers, just an example). Now, when you get to 200 armor, it will still only block 75%. The second 100 armor you bought was the same amount, but the effectiveness of armor slowly decreases as you purchase more. As such, 300 armor would only give you 87.5% resistance, and so on. So a percentage of bought armor, which is continually less and less effective. Not so good.
redniwediS1 votesBasically both runes and masteries are there to assist you with your early game. They are supposed to have just enough strength to give you an edge over your opponent if used correctly. Once you get going however you want to fully rely on items, which are for late game.
As for making better mastery pages I could give you a list of websites that have "guides" that could help you, but the only way to truly learn to make better pages is with trial and error. Lots and lots of glorious error, but it's worth it in the end.
