Looking for Plat+ players to give helpful information
Okay so I've been playing League for about 7 months now, about 2-3 hours a day give or take 12 hours one day without playing a few days. I just recently got to gold 5 and climbed very easily. I've been in gold 5 for over a month now and am at 0 ranked points and have officially given up. I see on the forums that gold 5 is one of the hardest elo's to climb out of. Basically why I'm here is I need help. I play with my diamond and platinum nerd friends and do just fine, (not feeding) laning against diamond or plat players. Diamond players usually smoke me I just try to stay as safe and close to farm as I can. My in game skill is very high for a gold 5 player I try to know as much as I can about summoner cooldowns along with ability cooldowns for dodging. Where I lack is map awareness, I know i lack skills here because I used to play Call of Duty at a professional level and unless I was in combat I was looking at the mini map, while in league I'm not afk farming 8-10/minute yet so I don't have as much time as I'd like to look at the mini map. Besides that I'm a very good player, need to expand my champion pool but have 1-4 champions per role. I try to fill to fit my teams needs and I dont freakout often unless I'm adc and have a worthless support in some cases I'd rather 1v2 safely and farm under tower than have my support feed the other adc. How can I get out of gold 5, I play on my friends gold 1 account and do just fine, though the skill difference in G5 & G1 is incredible. I get afk'ers if I win 2 games in a row or have feeding mid laners it's literally unbelievable. Clearly I know nothing about the game of league of legends, but in my opinion you have to get into high diamond for the players to really know whats going on. Sure plats and high gold have better mechanics but as far as a 1v1 goes I can beat anyone in my or around my elo. I find it easiest to carry from jungle because I have seemingly higher game knowledge than these noobs who got carried to gold. I am a decent adc and solid mid, but once I am challenged by competition I will stick to bot lane and jungle. What else can I do? I rarely get outfarmed even if im countered..I honestly don't know why I keep losing and am most definitely done with ranked for season 5. I will continue to practice and my goal is plat 1-3 for S6. Please help what did I not touch on? I always have a pink ward somewhere on the map and try to buy as many as possible without using too much gold, in fact sometimes I even buy sightstone as a jungler. I do realize I'm blabbering but I cannot explain my frustration with the matchmaking system and don't understand how some of these players are considered gold. Help me learn to carry them as easily as I carried silver players, because carrying is the only way to climb IMO. Let me know, also; although 80% of people advise against duo'ing I love the idea of having a solid player to teamup with and help eachother so let me know if you are in my elo or have a smurf in my elo to play with where you can give me more of an idea of what I need to work on. Sorry for blabbering I appreciate all feedback! PS. If you lookup my summoner you'll see some pretty horrific stats, this is because I used to play on an old slow mac computer, I recently bought a gaming desktop where I climbed from s4 to g5 in less than a week. I didnt even have a mousepad before so I was just messing around. Thanks! PS. If you look up my summoner on lolking or whatever my stats are horrific and that is because I was playing on an old slow mac with a mouse on my bed, I recently moved and bought a gaming desktop and climbed from silver 4 to gold 5 in LESS THAN 7 DAYS.
