Is this really league of legends? Current state of the game.

Does it feel like you guys are playing League of Legends or League of 30 champions? Because it sure does feel like that since season 5. Why doesn't riot make it so that every champion played in their respective role is viable instead of forcing you to play something that corresponds with the meta? Why cant I play Heim mid and do just as well as Talon right now? Why can't I play Draven adc and do just as well as an Ashe adc right now? I know what you're gonna say "B-b-b-but if you're better than your opponent you can out right beat them regardless!". Yeah, that's true. But why is it that I have to try 200x harder than the enemy to beat them whereas they have to apply minimal effort to beat me?

Playing a champion shouldn't have to do with a meta, you shouldn't be punished for playing a champ because the meta doesn't go in their favor. What's the point of having 140 champs then? You might as well disable the ones that the meta doesn't favor and put the ones that are. "BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO PLAY A META CHAMP!" You're not wrong, you don't HAVE to play a champ that's meta right now and CAN play a champ that you find enjoyable and fun to play, but then you're just putting yourself at a disadvantage, knowing that there's gonna be a champ that does the same thing but better. Season 10 is approaching and to be honest, it doesn't look any better than season 9. I honestly hope that Riot at some point will wake up and realize that there are champs that literally no one plays just because of the fact that there are just better champs out there.

Azir Corki Ivern Skarner Kalista For example

Why play Wukong when you can play Talon? MonkeyKing < Talon

Why play Soraka when you can play Yuumi? Soraka < Yuumi

Why play Kalista when you can literally play any other ADC Kalista < ANYTHING

I understand that power creep is an issue, but this is 140 champs we're talking about. This isn't some sort of card game where there are over 100,000+ cards to balance. Whys it so hard to make every champ in the game viable and rewarding to play? I don't wanna have to play a champ that I enjoy then realize that other champs are just 10x better and can carry games harder than my champ can.

Take playing Blitzcrank for example. I could miss every single hook for the whole game. I land one hook 35-40 minutes into the game, GG. How is that fair in anyway shape or form? I guess you could say that if the blitzcrank pulls the wrong person or if their entire team has all in potential then yes you're screwed but just imagine you hit the mid or adc from their team. Thats not you being a better player, thats literally the champion that won you the game. I wouldn't be able to do that as Soraka now would I? You should be able to put effort into a champ and be rewarded for it, if you play something harder than you should be rewarded for it even more. However if I play Kalista into Kai'sa, Kai'sa just auto wins if the game ends up going 10 minutes longer than the game should of while applying little to no effort.

The community also makes it worse because everyone in this community is toxic. There is not one player that has not been irritated because of this game, not one. If you tell me that you have never gotten mad at this game, just exit out your browser and go tie a noose because you're just in denial good on you. All those people who say stuff like "Get good" or just get better at the game doesnt mean anything to me or any other player you say it to, get off your high horse and accept that. Being good at the game and carrying are two different things. I could be terrible at the game but carry, whereas I could be extremely good at the game but cant carry.

I understand that people are people, trolls are gonna trolls and whatnot. But seriously, something really needs to be done about some of these players. Some players would legit type in all chat about killing Jewish and Black people and even when reported would not be banned.

Seriously sick of this game but I'm too addicted to quit if I'm being honest. I just hope there will be some change soon.

No?

Why doesn't riot make it so that every champion played in their respective role is viable

Because most are?

instead of forcing you to play something that corresponds with the meta?

They don't? Literally learn your damn champion. There you go. You've won.

Why play Wukong when you can play Talon?

Because Talon doesn't have a fucking AoE knockup?

Why play Soraka when you can play Yuumi?

Because they're both good at different things? Because Soraka actually has somewhat of a response to divers? Because Soraka has her fucking GLOBAL HEAL!? Because Yuumi generally requires a lot more coordination to succeed, since your need your ally to go where you need to be and can't fucking walk there yourself or you die?

Why play Kalista when you can literally play any other ADC

Congratulations, you picked the champion Riot has admitted to keeping dumpstered. You literally picked the SINGULAR champion they intentionally keep in the dumpster and have flat-out said they will not bring out of the dumpster until a rework happens as your example for how over 100 champions somehow aren't viable. You might as well say AP items are all garbage because Yasuo has shit AP scaling.

most champions have very healthy winrates so... no, you aren't punished for playing non-meta champions. Like what is this even?

I'd agree that any given time some champs work out better than others. But I would disagree that most champs don't generally work out overall. I kinda laugh when someone picks a champ they never play because it fits the current "meta" or counter to my pick. That's probably why I adamantly one-trick.

Firstly you're being unfair... League is in a much better state than most but I will agree with you in this area.

They need to stop putting high skill champs in the dumpster like azir and Kali.

Champions like them are really hard to master and have very exploitable weaknesses. Let the pros play them and have an advantage for their skill expression. I don't enjoy watching pros play flipping Ash or Annie. Higher skill cap should = better champion for more skilled players. Why is Garen destroying top Lane when even gold players have enough in micro to be capped by that champion?

There are still some great high skill champions in the game right now, but it would be nice to have less in the dumpster...
