Is League supposed to start being fun at some point? I've made it to level 10 and I don't get it

What exactly is so fun about this game? I see the same 30 or so characters getting played every single match when apparently this game has over 150?

I die instantly the moment someone hits me with a single ability, and when I try to build defense items against it they end up doing to exact same damage anyway?

I get told that the matchmaking is fair and Riot punishes people that ruin the game and yet I get stuck with assholes that fight each other over who can get a worse score AND I'M THE ONE who gets a chat restriction for calling them assholes and asking the enemy to report them? Why do people like this game exactly? You're clearly forced to play a select few champs if you want to actually win and have fun because the rest are hopelessly outclassed in terms of stats and overall options. And this company does nothing to make the gaming experience better by dealing with trolls directly and instead seems to punish the people effected by them because they have the absolute audacity to "retaliate" (Calling an asshole and asshole.) I just don't get what the hype is all about when the game seems more like a chore to play than an actual game to have fun with.

Nah, you'll find there's some complainers on these boards about the number of viable champs, but currently 116 of the games 141 champs have a 48% win rate or higher (according to na.op.gg). The lowest of those (Shen) still has a 53% + win rate for people playing him for a consistent number of games (50+). You really can pick most things and do pretty well (tho, I wouldn't recommend azir.....)

But I don't think you seem to care about that. It seems more that you're coming back from a ban on a new account and have already made up your mind. Don't worry though, if you're not having fun, don't play! Many of us do have fun in this game.

Your name seems off for a fresh account and from your linked match history your play like someone who has some experience on the game. But, just my 2 cents, from what was in front of me. If you are new, apologies, ignore the second part. If not, who knows. Riots bans for a number of things.

Anyway, the main point stands. There's a lot of viable champs, but despite that if you're not having fun then it isn't fair to anyone, especially you, to continue playing.
