Gragas, Fizz, Akali, Tristana
What do all these champions have in common?
All "reworked" or nerfed by Rito and now have less than a 46% win rate. And Fizz is sitting at 43%. Riot's dev team proving once again why they're the best in the business.

What? Tristana was never a problem. Itemization changed to favor her, a lot. And the needless buffs didnt help.
Her "rework" was mostly visual with her E active being changed to something much more interactive. which i like very much so.

You do realize that with the exception of Gragas all of these are FotM champions. They are being used by people who probably aren't used to them, but "heard" that the champion is OP for some reason. They lack the familiarity with the champion that would allow them to be good and therefore their win percentage is far lower than 50%.
LoL is a "TEAM" game. One champion being good or bad won't turn a game. You could be out there with the weakest champion in the game, but if you had a solid team working with you and you knew everything your champ can and cannot do instinctively your team would triumph over a team with the 5 most OP champs in the game if they were all on their first 5 plays of those champions and didn't work together.
Win rate means little overall. Good players who work well with their team and get paired well in soloQ will win more than 50% of the time no matter what champion they select. But since SoloQ is a slot machine when it comes to quality of player you can end up with too many lemons to win no matter how well you play. Sadly, its a function of the way LoL is set up right now and their ranking system.
It's not just the reworks that cause the poor win rates. There are several other factors, and I'm increasingly convinced that while there are balance issues and some champs do need "work". The biggest issue is the gameplay itself and the fact that especially in soloQ too many players end up trying to carry their team rather than work as a 5v5 team where the team tries to win no matter how one individual does.
