How does LP and MMR system works?

I just don't get the mechanics of the system. Everybody says that to increase your MMR you need to win more. If my MMR is that of a Gold player and I'm on silver, then theoretically I should win more LP because I kinda "not belong to that rank". However, what I've seen from my own experience is that no matter what you do, it seems like I'm constantly winning less LP and losing more (LP). Either if a have a losing streak or winning streak, I keep on winning less LP and losing more each time I play and I just don't get what on earth am I suppose to do to climb faster.

Any thoughts?

What makes you believe you have a gold MMR?

If you're losing more LP for a loss than you're gaining for a win, it means your rank is higher than expected for your MMR. It generally occurs after going on a win streak. The reason it happens is the rates at which MMR decreases from losses and increases from wins is slightly lower than the rates for LP. Ultimately, there's nothing you can do about it. Just keep playing and don't let it affect your performance.

the LP is a dressing, it doesn't mean anything until you get into the master+ tiers of skill where it starts directly translating to skill values. MMR is what actually counts for the rest of the ladder, you don't get to see that one anymore, it is what is responsible for low rated plats and high rated silvers/bronzes who don't get matched with like for like but get matched with players seemingly above or below their skill level. if you have higher MMR than your LP rating you gain more LP. lower MMR than your LP rating you gain less LP.

You aren't playing in Gold MMR though no flame or anythin

If we're being theoretical if the game thinks you have gold MMR while you're in low silver you'll gain around anywhere between 25 - 30 LP based of winstreak, the higher your MMR compared to your actual rank the more LP you'll gain If the game thinks your MMR is lower than your rank you'll lose more LP when losing and gain less when winning

MMR is a derivative of Elo. Slightly more complex due to the need to identify individuals on a team but the core concept is the same. Basically an arbitrary number converts into winning/scoring probability's and winning/scoring probabilities convert into a number.

LP and rank are part of a progression system. Its used to provide incentive to players. It targets Perception, its a time investment/Grind.

Thank you all for your comments! About the Gold MMR, it was just an illustration, that is not my MMR atm. I guess the only way of solving this is to keep on playing and expect to slowly improve my MMR (hence, my LP winnings) with victories.
