Why do I get deranked from Silver 5 to Bronze 5

Dear the Administration team,

I am quite disappointed with the new rank season. Last year I won 5/10 and got Silver 4. Throughout last season, I was settled at Silver 5, sometimes got up to ~90/100 points. However, this year, just today, I won 5/10 and get deranked directly from Silver 5 to Bronze 5.

I really don't understand the ranking system, can you please explain?

Any help would be much appreciated!

P/s: I've been playing for more than 2.5 years, you can see in my account records. Recently I already wanted to quit because of the trollers in ranked games. If there is no reasonable answer, I think I have no more motivation to play this game and switch to others. Thanks for your time and understanding.

Sadly, this is how it works. Rito doesn't care how good you actually play, they don't care if you have 4 people feeding on your team. You get no redo's. You get nothing. Anybody above gold automatically gets placed so they don't have to deal with the bullshit of bronze to gold elo. Best to either quit the game or deal with it.

This formula works for the people who just starts playing rankends for the first time.

not really. last year, when i first got ranked i only won 2/10 games and got silver v. now i won 5/10 and i'm bronze v. this mmr shit is pissing me off soooo bad. i'm leaving this game behind.

If you were Silver 5, you probably had Bronze 1 MMR. Bronze 1 MMR and you only won 5, makes complete sense, I don't understand this post. This is how it works, unless you do exceptionally well regularly in your current division or play higher division with duos to steadily move it up, your MMR will always be lower than your ELO. But you were in Silver 5 ELO, but had Bronze 1-2 MMR. With a 5/5 record, you should expect to lose 4-5 divisions. When the reset happens, the only thing that matters is your MMR, your ELO means absolutely nothing because most peoples, as they are coming to find out, have bloated ELO. I went 7-3, Silver 1 to Silver 5. But I actually had closer Silver 1 MMR, and I still lost 4 divisions. People who do worse cannot expect to be placed anywhere near they originally were.

EDIT: A good way to find out if your MMR is high or low is to play a ranked game and see your gains from a win in LP. Since my MMR is much higher than Silver 5, I get 30+ LP for a win. If you are getting 15-22, then you're where you're supposed to be.
