I seriously dont understand why i am losing more lp and gaining less lp when my w/l is very good. Even when im on a win streak i still hardly gain any lp. Why is this happening? i just got demoted back to silver 3 because of this issue. Can anyone explain the system in depth? like am i missing something?
It's your MMR. High MMR, low placement = High amounts of LP gain with low loss. Low MMR, high placement = Low amounts of LP gain with high loss. Currently the system thinks you belong in a lower tier, (Silver 3, or 4.) Just keep playing to convince the system you belong higher, once you have proven yourself the MMR will rise and you'll start gaining more. This of course means losses will be a big punishment but it's the only way to keep going. (I started season Bronze 5, gaining 30 LP, now i'm Bronze 1, just recently promoted.) I was gaining around 22-24 LP at bronze 2, losing around 17, so maybe Bronze 2-1 is where I belong.
