Opinions on the Taliyah changes?

I have a lot of mixed feelings about her.

She seems stronger in fights but it feels weird playing her.

Most of the Taliyah community has started to feel alright about the changes, since they brought a lot of the burst back to her w,e combo to compensate for the removal of the aoe on her q. As a Taliyah main, I still feel that the removal of her movement speed from worked ground makes her feel a bit weird, as well as the aoe removal, but if you manage to land your w,e combos you'll notice how the changes are, in my opinion, quite fair.

I consider myself a Taliyah main, she's by far my favorite and most played champion. Personally when I first saw on the PBE that they were hard nerfing her, I was really concerned as I thought taking the AOE off her Q and the movespeed off of worked ground would make her feel AWFUL. I do miss the AOE on her Q, but besides that her damage to champions feels a lot better, and I like that. However I don't really like that she's becoming a jungler, but thats just me, i guess. She's ended up kinda how Ezreal was late last season, but I don't think that will last long. Overall the changes didn't really feel as bad as I was expecting though.

I think reduced waveclear is an acceptable price to pay for all the buffs she received. The reduced movement speed on worked ground is mostly offset by the increased overall movement speed, her passive feels a lot more useful and I'll always be happy about more damage. Overall, pretty good changes imo.

I love everything about it except for the removal of Worked Ground bonus MS. If they brought that back even if a weaker state, then I would be a happy camper.

When i saw the changes on the pbe i figured mid taliyah was gone. Nobody picked her for her damage, the wall was being nerfed, that is the only reason teams played her, her ability to help get the team strong, instead of herself, opposite imo to TwistedFate, same playstyle, but wants to get fed themselves. And when taliyah was successful, she needed to be punished. Then the hotfix came, and i had a little faith that it could be doable. Played a few and was happy with how much damage she could put out compared to what it could have been(mid).

And then pros started playing her support and the big one, jungle taliyah. Her clears are amazing and her damage is great. and seeing as her kit really fits the jungle playstyle after the changes, it was a match made in heaven. But now that she is bullying the top tier junglers, she needs to be nerfed, its like she has a certain power over most of them... hmmm... oh yea, her E, seeing as every top tier jungler has a gap closer, her E punishes them jumping onto her or the team, and can if able shove them back, making them take more damage for 0 reward. but that is too strong for riot...

But in all realness, i am worried a bit that with the reverting of the hotfixes save for 50% on the Q nerf instead of the previous 40% hp cahnges and the 2AD, i fear the changes MAY push her out of the jungle so now ap junglers are all in all bad and with her mid lane being sub par, and her support is niche. The LOGIN will become a reality. Azir thrown to the wayside, and taliyah along with him.

I'd rather they just changed it all back. she was fine before the changes and while I liked playing her jungle every once in awhile I'd rather her stay as a mid laner

Not a Taliyah player myself, but I think the changes are... interesting. Taliyah jungle spices up the already ever-changing two weeks we've had so there's that. However, this change probably sucks for mid laners who don't want to jungle, since I would imagine Taliyah feels somewhat clunky for the experienced player.

Right now she has pretty good single target damage, especially to jungle camps

I don't find her as fun, the speed interaction in worked ground especially, I just really liked that about her, she has less depth now. The lack of AOE on q feels weird too.

I don't really care if she's strong now, or weak --it's-not fun, won't play Taliyah anymore. :(

Gotta try her now. I bought her and haven't played her since an ARAM game, but I love her abilities.

Unhappy about the movespeed on worked ground being removed. I agree with the removal from a balance perspective, but I just enjoyed that mechanic so much. Otherwise the changes are fine, I think.

Jungle tal is now meta. Definitely better.

I personally don't like it. She's much stronger now in the damage department, but that's just lowered the level of skill required to perform well on her. Now you can instantly delete someone with W-E. Now you'll say that Taliyah did that before too. Except, she needed at a minimum 3 items to one hit kill someone with that combo, which meant you had to be doing well on some level. Now she basically needs 1-2, which is a number any idiot can reach.

If their goal was to fix her, then I have no idea why they're still trying to continue increasing damage. Damage is still a problem in LoL, so why is this always their solution?

I don't know how I feel about her being played in the jungle. Her ganks at level 6 are somewhat terrifying.

I do miss the waveclear and feel somewhat strange about not wiping minions until I build AP and Mana. She’s also quite a mana hog, so even Tear doesn’t just solve the problem like it used to. I get punished more for roams. They have to be quick and effective.

Much of her hotfix buffs have been reverted on the PBE because they were too large. Half her Q buff will be reverted, increasing the damage reduction from 40% to 50%. Half her E buff will be reverted, too, keeping the higher base damage but removing the 10% additional ability power scaling. I don’t know how those changes will land, but I hope Riot won’t accidentally dumpster her again.

I distantly fear that Riot’s plan to balance her for new jungle and support off-roles will require significant sacrifices or compromises from her laning identity.

i feel the nerf to wave clear and roam was neccessary for anything above diamond but otherewise the rest is still iffy
