Why does everyone go WoTa first on Vlad?
am I seriously the only vlad who goes Ryle's first and builds deathcap instead of WoTA?

I've currently a 70% winrate with Vlad, against all manner of opponents. I always finish WoTA first. The sustain it gives is just worth it. It gives you solid sustain, a E/Q combo wipes out most the lane and you dont lose HP on E almost. The CDR is absolutely neccesay as well.
Vlads HP from AP is better then his AP from HP, in my opinion.
I'll do Revolver then HP item then Finish Wota.
AP to fuel the HP
HP to fuel the AP
Get more AP again.
it helps you reach a higher threshhold of sustain. your play style is built around surviving if you can't do that then youre not making full use of his kit.
Depends on the match-up...but yea WoTa is core on Vlad...
I'm not sure why you wouldn't go WoTa first. At the very least revolver first, but even then I wouldn't go scepter second.
I would in 0% of situations get deathcap instead of WoTa. That doesn't even make sense on Vlad. I get maybe wanting a scepter and d-cap, but I'd never ever ever get them and NOT get WoTa on Vlad.
That is about as core item as you can get on him.
That is like playing adc and not getting IE
So to answer your question, yes, you are the only one (who has played more than 1 vlad game) that does that.
I mean, if you get ahead, damage is going to be better. but Wota is safer, no dispute.

depending on the match up, some boots, then upgrade to wota after I get both of those items I was talking about, then the rest depends on who you're playing against.
You still build
before
right? Because if you do, then you aren't alone. I use to do that all the time (haven't played Vlad in a while). I just cant bring myself to upgrade to WoTA. It's barely cost efficient. I just think that once i get the spell vamp, I should move onto more valuable items. I'll eventually come back to finish it but WoTA is low priority.
