I just went 10-0 in my placements. This account has NEVER been placed before in any season, ever. I got placed into Bronze 4. I played 10/10 games as Jinx ADC and combined was 91/25/78. I received an S-, S, or S+ almost every single game. What did I do wrong?

Secretly your MMR is higher than most, and maybe you'll be matched with Smurf or higher LP players to boost up your climb.
but yea, thats kinda how it works. don't expect any new account to be placed with Golf or Silver for 1st time placements.

I'm 14-0 right now, and I'm gaining +25 LP a win... on win 14, I instead gain +24... so I'm at 99LP now instead as well...
System just doesn't make sense to me ^_^

unranked has silver mmr so you prolly played against silvers and wouldve placed high silver I would go ahead and say, like others said before me, tho I don't really believe it, if you're better than bronze you will get out. imo if you're gold or higher, yes, but silvers or bronzes can't really climb too high from the shit that is b5.
KinetiKz1 votesI mean... I'm playing on this account to be able to play with real life friends... so I'm absolutely certain it will climb out... I just was curious how this is possible... RMU's Mid laner (Gillette) played on a fresh account as well, went 10-0, all solo, and got placed in Bronze as well... Just thought it was nuts is all... all my old accounts and main from way back when it was ranked for the first time in season 3, all of them were duo'd with other players from bronze to gold and have gone 5-5 to 2-8 to 8-2 and they ALL got placed Silver 4. Different season, but didn't know if something had changed.
I WAS duo'ing with my friend, obviously as I stated, who was Bronze 1. After our 14-0 streak so far, he's skipped to Silver 3 and the websites are saying his mmr is Gold 3. My account is still Bronze 4, but it's saying I have Silver 3 mmr as well... I don't really mind either way, I was simply curious and looking for some theorycrafting from others. You can really bias your mmr gains/losses compared to solo by duoing with someone. I've heard of fresh accounts getting placed plat 5 when duoing with their high mmr'd gold friends, while if you duo with a bronze 5 mmr'd person you'd have negligible mmr gains even for all 10 wins.
Although I'm rather surprised that you're below silver 4, as I thought that was where everyone started mmr-wise.
While it's never placed before, has it played ranked matches before (e.g. <10 matches in a previous season so as to remain unplaced)?
In theory it's your final mmr that is the only thing that matters, not your actual W/L record, so occasionally people trying to carry easy games with a low rank friend end up shooting themselves in the foot.

From the experience I have on multiple other accounts and how I handled them with solo games, solo/duo games, from a wide variety of ranging elos... those other accounts have never gone 10-0... but they ALL got placed Silver 4... and if a multi-challenger player can play a fresh account, all solo, and go 10-0 and get placed into bronze... that just blows my mind =P was simply curious.
