STOP PLAYING LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

League of Legends does not care about their community, just recently I was chat restricted for defending myself against a duo who were bullying me with hate speech. These two started the argument with me and when I retaliated they told everyone to report me for hate speech. After the two goons reported me it didn't take long for Riot to chat restrict me, I'm sure they did no research into what actually happened because if they did then I wouldn't have been punished and/or they would have went through restrictions. On top of that I think it's stupid for being punished for talking junk in a video game. League of Legends has the worst community in gaming, that's because they cater to the individuals who make this game a terrible experience. Look at what they did to videogamedunkey just go watch his video on why he quit League of Legends and I agree he shouldn't have said some of the things he did but look at everything he put up with prior to that point. ONCE AGAIN THEY ARE CATERING TO THE TOXIC COMMUNITY. They won't change unless we take action so I encourage you guys to stop supporting/playing League as I will. Don't buy any of their merchandise, Don't play, Don't promote the game until they actually care about their community. Let's see how long it takes before this post is removed.

No, you were chat restricted for breaking the Summoner's Code by contributing/creating a toxic environment in game. That's it. No one else caused you to do the things that got you punished.

Sincerely, a guy who's spent over $1500 in game and on merch, has never been chat restricted, and loves the game

You don't get chat restrictions for muting players, ignoring them, and reporting them after the game. That is what defending yourself in League looks like, not going all keyboard warrior on them.

Dunkey spread a bit of false info about his ban and the situation around it. Plus, by the nature of his videos he encouraged people to troll to get their 5 minutes of fame.

ONCE AGAIN THEY ARE CATERING TO THE TOXIC COMMUNITY.

The toxic community is the one getting chat restricted and banned, they're not catering to them.

how to avoid toxic teammates getting you chat restricted/banned: /mute all or mute the toxic ones. dont play into their game by getting upset and becoming toxic yourself.

lol so you get punished for shit talking and say its not your fault but you were the one to type and enter the text you entered. so what if some one else said something mean you apparently broke the rules as well and that is why YOU received a chat restriction... you should of just not said anything and reported them at the end of the game but nope you had to be verbally abusive and toxic as well and get reported and punished for YOUR ACTIONS

Another salty baby was punished, and the league community is now slightly better.

YOU are the toxic community, if your refusal to provide chat logs does not prove it, your awful attitude in this post does. There is no justification in "defending" yourself by being toxic. You lowered your self to their level, and you got treated appropriately. Get a thicker skin, or just stop playing online games until you are old enough to cope without throwing tantrums and trying to place blame for your behavior.

i don't know how much i have spent on this game.

and yes there have been some times during certain balance changes, cough cough dynamic que, where i have lost a lot of my faith in the company...

but riot pretty much always pulls through eventually.

i have never had ANY punishment, no bans, no chat restrictions.

i even got a FREE skin during one of the season for "good behavior"

trust me i have SEEN companies that JUST want your money.

to this day my favoite game of all time was "prefect world" which was literally the BEST game i have EVER played... but the company got greedy and made it pay to win. and COMPLETELY ruined the entire game.

riot hasnt even come CLOSE to doing that.

sure thier balancing team can be questionable at times... but they at least CARE about the game.. and not just about stuffing their pockets.

The best way to fight against toxicity is to ignore and report, not retaliate.

So mute and report them.

Well, I have no choice but to stop. My laptop crashes the game and I don't have access to my computer.

Once I get the latter back, then I can start up again.

Also, nice wall of text. Stopped reading after the first sentence.

Actually it's exactly because of people like you.

You don't have to defend yourself, you flamed and that's it.

enjoy your ban

That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? I'll keep this one simple: those other players in your game that you thought were worse are probably also banned. Nearly 100% of the time, those players were banned even before you were. If someone is being toxic, just report them and move on.

We strongly believe that it is not OK to retaliate. If a player refuses to cooperate and says something negative, then players should ignore the player and report them after the game. Players can ignore or mute players by pressing the “Mute” button on the Scoreboard [when you hit TAB] in the game.

If a player retaliates and says something bad back, then the two of you have made a negative experience for potentially the other 8 players in the game. Rarely do teams start working together better when players begin fighting back—great games only happen when players cooperate and don’t make the issues even worse by fighting back and forth.
