@Riot ; When the next class update is picked, will there be support for the class that's not chosen?

I know whatever class doesn't get chosen will (likely) be updated following that update and this isn't about who needs it more as both Vanguards and Divers really could use the help for both different and similar reasons. But here is the problem.

Whatever class gets the update will have to wait till mid season for the update to hit, which is about half way through the year. That means the class that doesn't get chosen (if they don't get passed up by a different class) will get theirs by around the same time the Assassin update came out this year, all while they are still getting hit hard by other classes (mostly being top lane match ups), including the class that just got updated for the second half of the year, as both of them like to occupy the top lane.

So my question is will the class who doesn't get the slot for the next update see any form of assistance like Assassins got through the original item 3147 before the Assassin update was announced? Anything like an item made for that class, mastery changes, minor changes to struggling champs of that class or something?

I know you guys want the update done right and I wouldn't want you to rush out the changes just to get them done faster of course. That would just cause more issues then they would solve if the update is rushed out. But for either class to just sit and wait till around this time next year seems like a bit much to ask for.

he asked if supports would get attention around the next class update even if it isn't dedicated to them.

No. He asked if support will be GIVEN to the class that doesn't make the cut for the next roster update. So that they have a crutch of sorts until Riot can take a look at them.

so he means divers? Pretty sure they are the next one after tanks.

They haven't decided on which class is next yet. It could be Divers, it could be tanks. Riot hasn't made an official announcement yet.

i'm hoping for another ADC change, with the assassin update assassin's are running around and just fucking over the ADCs and they can't do SHIT vs a Yasuo and all the other top laners who just get onto the ADC and just fuck them over because a full tank Sion can R-Q-E-W and kill the ADC w/o anyone being able to help. THAT IS AN ASSASSIN'S JOB. NOT THE SION'S!!!

What is a vanguard?

Engage tank.

Let's just call it that instead of all these big wards lol.

"Vanguard" is actually shorter than "engage tank" or "aggressive tank." And "vanguard" implies that your kit is focused heavily on engage and burst of CC, while "Engage tank" can mean any tank with engage, whether that is a major part of the tank's power budget.

Like Maokai can engage with flash+W, but that's gonna be nowhere as effective as Amumu, Sejuani, or Malphite.

Yes, but people understand engage and tank because they aren't big wards.
