would League be better if they had the CS:GO leaver/afk concept

With random afks/trolls etc. wouldnt it be smart and do what Counter strike does and replace it with a bot, or have the ability for a in game team vote to vote off the troll and replace the player with AI. I know it wont fix everything but itll still allow teams to maintain the 5 man squad and if the player is trolling and throwing on purpose the team has the ability to vote them off before hopefully the game is out of reach. Just a thought.

Bot is worse than afk!!

Bots are dumb and predictable. They will feed unless they happen to have teammates nearby.

That's not a half bad idea. i have spend thousands of hours play CSGO, and yes it sucks when u kick a player and have to deal with a bot but it's also better then being a man down so to speak.

I think the current advanced league bots are not that bad, of course they could increase their difficulty more but i can see how programming AI like that can be difficult. Although its not only on afks, but also have the ability to vote off a toxic player thats just feeding regardless and replace him with a bot. If anything youll always have someone pushing a lane and that isnt a bad thing in my eyes.

Yes, it is. Bots are so easy to farm. Plus they don't understand the concept of teamwork. All the bot's going to do is push a lane while you're still getting clobbered in a 4v5 like you were before. And then they get an extra kill off an easy to kill bot. And your team is just going to be even farther behind than you were without a bot. The only reason the bots are even somewhat of a "challenge" is because they cheat and get extra gold, and thus items.

There's also a massive issue where bots don't understand playstyle. If I'm playing a slightly tankier build on let's say a bruiser because that's what my team needs what is the bot going to do? Is it going to figure out that I'm a tank and play that way, or go through it's bot routine and pretend it's going to be the damaging bruiser of the game? That's 2 massively different playstyles you have to code for.

This is a lot easier in a game with less choices. FPS can replace it with a bot because everyone's just trying to kill each other. There's little enough difference in the guns that you can have them still function. When you get to even the complexity of LoL replacing someone with a bot won't work.

If we're copying what Valve does, better to copy from DotA than CS:GO. In DotA, when a player leaves the game, other players in the game can select and control their character. It's more micro intensive, and obviously you'll be less good controlling two dudes than one dude, but this way we aren't relying on AI and the leaver character can always be somewhere relevant on the map.
