Alright as an ADC main. I've been trying to figure out which has been better. in my opinion I've mostly used 
for the most part. and only in special cases have i ever actually used 
. but what i want to know which is better??????? Lord's or Mortals? which do you think you prefer and why? which do you use more? what situations do you use for each one.
Lord Dominik's Regard is the better choice in most situations since Grievous Wounds only inhibit self-heals. If the enemy doesn't have a monstrous self-sustainer, the Grievous Wounds effect won't be as helpful. That said, Grievous Wounds is literally worthless vs. Garen. His passive regen doesn't kick in until after he stops taking damage, and the Grievous Wounds debuff fades faster than that.

Reminder is good for comps that have sustain oriented teams and Dominik's is good for for health stacking comps.
Team has at least a tank and some sustain champions in their comp? Reminder.
Team has at least 2-3 champions that tanky in both health and armor? Dominik's.
LDR always. The other is just trash ever since GV got gutted.
None of them is really good, unless you are faced with very durable targets.
They are intended to be situational pick, that you build to destroy specific target. If no-one is really resisting you in particular, you are probably better off buying another lifesteal or another AS/Crit item than either LDR or MR.
That being said, LDR is better in most cases. A lot of people have 500HP more than an ADC, whereas very few have a noticeable self-heal. The main target of would be

with a glass canon build. And even WW or Vlad have noticeably more HP than you (so LDR wouldn't be bad), it's just that shutting down their lifelink is more important.
Why not both?
Get Mortal Reminder if the following champions are a problem: Mundo, Aatrox, Volibear, Vladimir, Swain, any adc that has life steal, specially Draven.
Otherwise get Lord Dominik's.
Wait for them to make a new armor pen item :3
It's called situational.............. It's a strategy game for crying out loud.
If they have a self healer get executioner early game then mortal end game
If not get regard endgame.
Depends on what the enemy team is. If they have a lot of healing, Mortal Reminder. If they have someone who is tanky and has a lot of health but not a whole lot of healing (
and 
for example) Lord Dominik's is better.
