With the arrival of Tahm Kench the river king we see yet another ability that can completely disable Vi's ult (I don't see why she stops when she should just punch Tahm in the face) but Vi's ult has 120 seconds cool-down and Tahm can cancel it with his W so can we get some sort of cool-down refund system on Vi's ult if it is cancelled by recall or death or Tahm or Zhonya's hourglass? It feels unfair that while Tahm is on the enemy team she wont have an ultimate. I'm not asking for the whole thing but at least 50%? something to consider.

Wow, you actually have to use skill now as to when you will ult instead of pressing R and deleting the adc? Crazy crap riot is making players do these days.

Tahm pressing W doesn't require skill either.

He is designed as the ultimate peeler for the adc. Vi's ult should be countered by untargetability. If you ult zed and he ults and removes your ult you made a mistake. If you ult the adc and Tahm devours her then you made a mistake. Most of the time they have more than 1 high priority target and his w has very short range. If he is standing next to his adc ult the mid laner, or get someone on your team that has a displacement so you can move him from the adc and ult them. or engage on their front lane and wait for tahm to use his w offensively or defensively and ult afterwards to finish instead of initiate. There are plenty of ways around this, but every champion has counters and tahm is a counter to champions with auto engages on high priority targets.

making a mistake is all well and good but what about fizz E Vlad pool? can I just not wait 120 seconds please because they 'outlayed' me by pressing 1 button.

you didn't get outplayed because they pressed one button. You got outplayed because you used your ult knowing that they had that ability and not waiting for them to waste it. Should malphite get a refund if he misses because of untargetability? Should naut?

I actually second this point. Vi is a champion with an ability you literally can't dodge unless you become untargetable or die in another fashion. At Least Caitlyn's ultimate can be intercepted.

it's a 50% CD not 100% think logically if it is refunded 50% I still wont be able to use it again in a teamfight situation. This is to help with ganking when there is a fizz who can E and a vlad who can W and a tahm who can swallow there could effectively be no lane that I could ulti without losing it. I just want 50% CD so that if I am denied a gank I can try again somewhere else before I hit level 9!

If they pick a team with a vlad a tahm and a fizz and you pick vi. There is your problem. You can't have your cake and eat it to. Don't complain because one of the best ults in the game has some counterplay to it. Very few champs in the game can be untargetable which means you can free ult about 90 percent of the characters in this game. no it does not need a cooldown reduction for getting canceled, if you ult a person who can be untargetable without knowing if that ability was up, you deserve to miss and aren't using her ult effectively.

If the target becomes untargetable then it goes on a 5 second cooldown. While Vi's probably shouldn't get that low i don't see any reason why it couldn't be halved. naut getting the same treatment would be pretty ok too (halved not 5 seconds). Losing 100/125/150 mana and not having your ult for 75/57.5/40 seconds (on vi) sounds like punishment enough.

Your malphite comparison isn't fair because it isn't a targeted spell. Targeted spells are supposed to be reliable, that's what differentiates them from skill shots which are prone to missing, and when they fail at that something is wrong. That is the whole reason dodge was removed as a mechanic.

Given that you have to have his passive mark on you and you have to be in melee range I think it's your own fault if he W's you

It's the same thing with zed, rengar, talon, veigar and every champs that have their full damage on a spell or they are all in and need a full rotation to kill someone. So isn't only a problem for vi

I think all of those abilities should have their cooldowns refunded aswell but i only Play Vi out of those so this is what I requested. Frankly being out played by Tahm is going to be a problem but is it so much to ask to be able to try again in 24 seconds? instead of 120 didn't seem too unreasonable to me.

How about don't try and ult someone standing next to tahm if is w is up? That is just dumb on your part if you do that.

this is also in response to if my allies kill them first or if they recalled or zhonya's or fizz E again not asking for the whole cooldown but 120 seconds seems unfair.
