Should League of Legends make a Game mode to play all the champions before their rework?

I have been playing this game for a long time and I would like to play champions before their rework. To be honest I think the champions before the rework were better and more fun to play.

Do they even still have the old versions laying around somewhere? Either way I'd kill to get a chance to play old Sion one last time.

I would honestly pay for a chance to play all the old League of legends, not just the champions.

I want a chance to experience the old League pre Runes reforged, elemental drags, all the new champions like Zoe, Pyke, and Sylas, etc...

I say just do something like Classic WOW and I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in playing, either all the old players who quit because the game got worse, or the newer players who want to experience the game everyone says was much better.

Although, I don't think they would do something like this, because it would take a MASSIVE chunk of the playerbase away and would cut sales by a lot if they ever decided to remove it like URF.

They won't do it, it would split the playerbase up too much. And how would you decide which version of champs to include? And which patch to play on, plus who knows what bugs might get introduced. It would need it's own testing etc., costing Riot more resources that they probably don't want to spend.

that would be a very interesting and fun gamemode, but only be allowed to play the champions who've had full vgu reworks with full kit reworks

Ya I would like to play the champions before their rework. I am new to this game and it would be cool to try them out.

No and will never happen.

Rather they should bring 1 for All back for like 2 weeks on each new champ release and while they're at it, make it about the new champ.

that would be extremely expensive and nobody would play stuff like old ww for more than 2 games out of pure nostalgia

Sounds like fun! I actually never got to play the champs out before rework. I really really really want to try one day. The game mode will be fire.

It's not going to happen.

We can’t just pull in old data and expect the current game engine to play nice with it all. We could almost certainly make it work if we had a bunch of smart engineers working to make it happen, but then those engineers would not be working on other features that might be more valuable to you guys in the long run. Likewise, we could have designers create versions of existing champs that tried to mimic the old data (Season Two abilities, items, tuning, etc.) but that’s a mountain of work for something that might only be fun for a few games or so. In other words, the opportunity cost of that work is probably pretty expensive.

So philosophically, we aren’t opposed to playing an older version of LoL, and it might be fun for a short period of time (because we might very well discover that the reasons we made all of the Season Three, Four, and Five changes still exist), but there is a good chance it’s not worth the development effort that it would take.

Come on @riotgames let us play the old league of legends. You can do it for an april fools joke and revert the game back to it's classic for like a week

FSRER12/13/2019, 12:39:01 PM1 votes

You know why that will not happen?

  1. Riot would not make any money out of that
  2. Riot has deleted all the old assets (S7 and before) and so they would have to create everything from the beggining

They already said they have so much trouble bringing back stuff such as nightmare bots because of champion updates over the years, so they're likely not going to do something that's even more work such as aiming at all these champions who need to be reverted back. Old coding (character codes) with new coding (maps and such) are not going to tie in well together and it's going to require more than just slapping on old code to a champion model.

Also, yikes, balancing.

Talon Sion old versions are too op. There's a reason they were reworked.

RIOT doesn't needs full do something with Tryndamere though.
