Probably because op.gg is literally a guess and not your actual MMR

OP.GG doesn't use riot's MMR system (I don't think) and estimates it instead of getting it directly from riot, so it could be that OP.GG is simply wrong.

Gold V < Silver II

isn't it who you play against? so if you beat people worse than you, you gain a little. if you beat people better than you, you gain a lot.

if you lose to people worse than you, you lose a lot. if you lose to people better than you, you lose a little. This system is entirely based on their matchmaking rating, not the individual skill of the teams/players.

Kind of a funny joke.

The struggle is real, there are both great players in low elo that you'll have to compete with and the typical soloQ mishaps that ruin your rank. I can't say that my MMR is set above my elo, but I'm a true league veteran with 4k+ hours that has everything but the patience to be pro on this game yet I still have to find home here in silver :}

OP.GGs MMR thing is hilariously unreliable most of the time since its only a crude approximation of your actual MMR I have had times where one game my MMR was "higher" than those of my league. Lost a single game that barely changed my MMR rating and still somehow my MMR was now lower than those of my league. I wouldn't trust what the site tells you about your MMR in the slightest

Those are estimates. They aren't official and don't matter anyway.
