Wukong QoL
Wukong is a champion in a special space because he has a fairly low amount of skill expression (his W) and his combo is fairly linear. Thus, when he is too strong (such as prior to the 8.16 nerfs) he is strong at all skill levels. While eventually he will likely be the receiver of a VGU, that day is not on the horizon. I think it would be in order to give him a couple of QoL "buffs" to increase his skill expression and increase his winrate delta, preferably with minimal impact on his overall power level.
First, I think his W cast paradigm should be changed to that of Shaco's Q. I am not saying he should get Shaco's Q. What I mean is Shaco blinks towards the cursor, while Wukong blinks in front of his character model. The range of the blink absolutely should not change. The purpose of this change is thus: Let's say you are playing Morgana (this is live). You Q at the Wukong running at you. If his character model is still facing you when he gets bound, you are almost sure you hit him. If he turns his model, odds are he W'd the binding. If the cast paradigm were changed it would be possible for a skilled Wukong to cast it and appear behind the clone in the instant before the Q hits, giving the appearance of the real monkey have taken the binding. Again this is a very minor change that is mostly QoL while slightly reinforcing the "trickster" element of playing Wukong, given by his inspiration Sun Wu Kong.
Second, as it is his W is locked out while Wukong is in Cyclone. I think it should be possible to activate Decoy in Cyclone to early deactivate the ultimate, just like reactivating R. Difference is, I think the decoy should keep spinning for the remaining duration (or 1.5 seconds before the decoy disappears, whichever comes first), appearing to be in Cyclone while the real one slinks away having ended his ultimate early. Currently, if the Morgana from the last example hits Wukong with binding and he keeps spinning they know for sure he is bound- if he stops, it is possible he reactivated R and then W'd.
The Cyclone clone ("CyClone.....") shouldn't have any of the ultimate's effects (IE it shouldn't do damage or have further knockups, after all, it is a decoy). After all, the purpose of Decoy in most cases isn't to leave the enemy thinking it's the real one, but to throw them off just long enough. A diversion, a decoy.
, True Sight (so champs like
could counter it's effects the same way
counters dashes), taking what you thought would have been lethal damage and/or Tenacity which would reduce it's effects. by doing that it would make people believe he's still the real Wukong without actually dealing damage.
