I am curious as to why a friend of mine won 5 out of 10 of his prelim matches and got ranked Silver 5, and I won 7 out of 10 and it ranked me Bronze 4? I wasn't ranked at all last season and I did well in the games that I played. I find it so frustrating that winning 7 out of 10 matches puts me in the next to last possible ranking? Can someone please bring me up to speed on how that works.
hh the thinker1 votesyour normal mmr matters before you even start ranked. if your normal mmr is low, they chances are you will get a low rank.
Gung ho Guse1 votesyeah I understand that aspect of it, but the other guy is my roommate so we always play together so we would have pretty similar mmr I would assume.
hh the thinker1 votesit can also be which matches you win and lose on your placements since fighting different teams can counts for more and less. you might have lost vs a lower mmr team bring your mmr down fairly low or something like that.
