Grinding mastery points

So i know the basics, ONLY play that one champion, learn them inside out, etc. but is there a way to expedite the mastery grinding process? I'm not sure what game modes yield the most points, or how many points are awarded at the end of each level (like does it matter how well you play? and what is the avg. point drop per game, does it vary per role, etc.)? any help or information on grinding mastery points would be super helpful!
