So I just recently reached lvl 11 and I keep getting matched against stronger players! I went into a party and played 3 games with a dude whos lvl 16. Could that be why? How do I go against players with a level similar to mine? I just got put on a team with a level thirty and he was a total dick to everyone. It's making this game very hard to play.
Matthias91192 votesEach time you win you will go up against tougher opponents. Each time you lose you will go up against weaker ones.
It adjusts your internal MMR (MatchMaking Rating) based on your summoner level, but if you win significantly more than you lose you can end up against higher-level players. If you're losing a lot it will even out over time.

That's a little different and is probably because he was grouped up with a low-level player on your team. In this case it tries to average out their rating and then put other players around that average in the match.
