1.- Mechanics Q-E combo to land that stun its a little bit harder than appear, the volcanic rock apear after 2 seconds that gives a lot of time to react and dodge that stun, plus ur enemy will try to not fight u in the jungle because u can use a wall to stun plus the other stun is better in a lineal fight.

R-R - In the right moment and if u cant hit the punch its almost useless, the enemy can easily stun to disable that , or if u fail u ll wait 90 secs to try again.

2.- Diversity scale. Every skill of Ornn scale with different things...armor, mr, health or atack damage. That means that one item will not help u to make stronger all of ur abilties, just a few.

3.- Passive items Almost every upgrade item is not worth to buy until lategame , maybe only redemption, solaris, deathcape and trinity.

IMO, why play him top when he's out laned by everything? Why play him jungle when his ganks without ult are bad? And why play him support when enchanters exist.

In short, his ability is to be a brick wall. There are better brick walls with decent crowd control that deal more damage. But that's just from what I've seen.

I think Ornn is fine, I've seen some real good ones. Also his w will be a lot stronger if APCs were also strong(as cc is boosted strength). So now where ADCs are so strong, I think it is natural for him to feel weak.

Q-E is a timing thing. You gotta time the charge right so the pillar isn't there too long and they're still affected by the slow, and if it hits it has a large impact. If I time it properlu and hit them with the slow prior, I almost always hit the combo provided they don't have a dash or blink.

W is bread and butter. Waveclear, shield, and can help negate certain CCs when timed right.

Ult is best used from a distance, not where they can easily CC you, and it's cd isn't very long as the game goes on and you get more CDR.

Scaling is fine. He's ultimately supposed to build tank, not damage, and his contribution is Brittle and CC. Ultimately, he's how tanks should be, little damage contribution but big impact in other ways.

And the whole point of the Masterwork items is to build them lategame. They aren't as effective early on because they just provide extra stats, and it's why he now has to hit 13 before anyone can buy any.

A good player only has to walk toward Ornn to avoid Q-E (pillar spawns behind you so walking toward Ornn = walking away from pillar). And you split up when you see the Ram ult so it only hits 1 or 2 ppl, if any, so it's best to use in a choke point or around objectives where the enemy team has to group up.
