Toxic Player Punishment

I was thinking that banning a player for bad behavior does not make his behavior better, he just create a new account and do the same. So if you want to make him pay for his behavior just let him play with bots(or a minigame that will not consist from real players) and practise his skills. He could be punished with like 2000 tribunal contribution +200hours bot play to unlock his account.Just thoughts.Voluntary work power :D!!!!

I don't agree.

Not only the have to create an account from the ground once again, but with how agressive the system is becoming towards toxic people, and the salt they will acumulate, they will keep being banned over and over until they either decide to fix their attitude or just find themselves unable to have a proper account.

Yeah that's how I view things too. Riot tricks us with these statistics (People lose 67% more games if they cuss at teammates). (I made up the statistic)

But what Riot probably realizes but fails to acknowledge is that 67% of the time people who are already losing or had loss already cuss at teammates.

Then them getting punished for blowing off steam (I'm referring to cussing not verbal abuse specifically) causes more rage.

Actually, you can solve the "toxic" problem by simply punishing trolls. 95% of the "toxicity" I have seen in my games have been a result of someone locking mid with last pick when we already have a mid, someone afking because they gave first blood, someone running down mid and ending 0-12-0 with 5 dorian rings, or someone that is 0-5 Yasuo that dives 1v4 for no reason. Trying to fix the "toxicity" problem the way they are, is like fixing global warming by buying an air conditioner.

I do like the new system, as I've dealt with far less toxic people. That being said, I've seen a few posts where it seems like people are just getting banned for being annoying towards teams, or people who are showing frustration towards teammates. I don't understand how Riot expects people to be perfect all the time. I do think extremely toxic people deserve bans, but too many cases I've seen seem to warrant chat restrictions rather than bans. What are your guys thoughts?

The speed of response gives the player a better chance at reforming - one of the problems with the old system was that people had forgotten their games, or their perceptions had been warped. The new system lets you know much sooner.

Also, 15 minutes! They aren't going to get a chance to play more than 2 games on a new account if they get punished that quickly (And they punish newer players much more harshly - see the case of the Akali player being rude about himself).

That's a problem Riot's facing: punishing deserving players vs encouraging them to improve their attitude. It's easier to do the first. But you're right, and too many don't see it (hence the downvote).

Bans are necessary, but they might not encourage improvement

How would that stop him from creating another account?
