Like the title says WHERE IS URF?!?!?! I honestly do not understand why this game type seems to never run in the cue / rotation. When you join an URF game it's almost INSTANT meaning there are a TON of people playing it. We've had that crappy Ascension two weeks in a row it feels like. I might just be raging a bit but that's the only thing that keeps me coming back to league anymore.... so where is it?

bojangllzz1 votesi think ranked/normal aka anything on summoners rift is garbage,some of us who lead a more eventful life does not have time for that 45 minute+ hot mess.i don't get to league like you do and i LOVE me some urf.as a matter of fact theres about 2 modes on league i even like these days so when no good modes i dont even log in to league.seems like im going to have to perma quit this game since they sucked that small bit of fun from it
Sukishoo2 votesIt's because as well Riot said when they made ARURF, it hadn't been seen in awhile because people always pick what's OP! and you see the same 10-20 champs every game. It got dull fast. Even in ARURF it got pretty dull. So they don't have it in rotation, except for once or twice a year at most so that it's not so bad.

GeminiRune1 votesPretty sure someone from Riot said somewhere that they don't want URF to adopt too much of a cultivated meta by having it as frequent as other gamemodes or more generally as a gamemode that draws in so much only to take away from the general game. Regardless though, even before the RGM, it only came out at the beginning of April. People who played long enough could comfortably wait til then and just go all out with the new stuff that came to the game since the last time around. So if it doesn't come around until April, that's pretty alright with me. If it's not for you, there's a Practice Tool coming to the client.

GeminiRune1 votesFrankly I don't see the concern there as I am patient and prepare when it comes up (like other RGMs). It may be condensed but that considerably makes players prepare for it better rather than going through their work/school week going "omg I wanna go home and play URF." This is a problem for weekend workers though; I can't debate that at all.
Seeing how popular it is, there's almost no doubt that it'll be scheduled for RGM back to back weeks. But to me, I don't need 2 whole weeks to play everything I want to and wind up mentally spoiled afterward for a week with trigger happy execution. A couple of games per weekend evening is fine with me.

GeminiRune1 votesWhat I mean is that when you play enough URF and only that for a while in-game, the feeling sticks and lingers a while. That happened to me back in 2014 for like a week after it went away and somewhat less time in 2015. And I played a lot then. And yeah we're not getting URF. So? If they only decided to release it during April like they had in the past 3 years, I'd be perfectly okay with that. If you had it every 2-3 months or less at that, the value of the game mode wouldn't feel the same. The reason why it felt good when it came around in the past was because of the new stuff (new/reworked champs, items, buffs, nerfs, meta, etc) that came from points between on top of just having that fun game mode to freely fool around with champs with little to no threat unless you tryharded to win. And there is a schedule that shows the upcoming weeks. That's all I tend to refer to and I plan accordingly.

No flash no life1 votesI highly doubt we'll ever see it anymore. Riot has replaced it with arurf, which is nothing like - in fact its nature contradicts that of urf - it.
And just for the clarification, no it is not balanced, it is indeed strongly favoring a certain meta of champions, but that's exactly the reason why we like it and hence it's not a bad thing. I understand there are those who do not enjoy it, but that doesn't make it bad nor does it prevent the rest of us from enjoying/wishing for it.

How are these arguments even valid? What if i say "ascension is boring, ppl tell me how to play and the same champs are picked and banned all over", is that an equally good reason to never have ascension again? just give us the urf and let those who want it play it for some weekends.
