MMR of Bronze III stuck in Silver V

Hi all, Do anyone knows how I can get below Silver V?
I'm playing nearly all my game with my wife and we have a MMR of Bronze III (which she is) but on my side I'm stuck at Silver V. So we usually get outmached.

We're currently sitting at 35% win-rate with 18% in the last 20 games. I don't mind the grind, but it's hard to keep it positive with these odds.

Don't worry, I'm not thinking of trying to lower my MMR on purpose. It's just that I know MMR exist so players should end up with a 50%ish win-rate, but I don't see that happening if we're getting matched with Bronze I/Silver V when we have a MMR of Bronze III.

We're really doing our best with that 18% win-rate :(

Inversely your time would be better spent trying to improve as a duo rather then face tanking me. If she is the weakest link focus on her own personal improvement

That been said, the only true way to get bronze mmr is to have statistically below average stats. Low cs, negative kda, low damage across the board.

In most cases you have to practically be inting too fall into bronze from silver

You probably don't want to fall from S5... To do that your MMR needs to be B5 and then it's incredibly hard to get it back up and it's likely that both you and your wife might lose even more because of it.

My opinion, for what it's worth, is to just play your game without worrying about purposefully tanking your MMR. It will balance itself with time anyways if you guys still do poorly without possibly having a negative impact on the experiences of other players in the game

Stop playing with your wife in fucking ranked games?

Or just keep feeding and losing until you demote to Bronze III while she's Bronze V. Then you'll win some games.

I'll forgo the tone of this answer, but the reason why we're playing in ranked is to be as evenly matched as possible. Too often in normal you see huge difference in rank/skill of players so you lose/win by a big margin, either of which are not fun to me.

You did well to skip over the tone. I sometimes do that on forums.

ANYWHO, the issue here is that you're jeopardizing your rank to play with your presumably BEAUTIFUL and LOVELY lady, who apparently can't keep up with the action...let alone you. I think your best bet is to perhaps play Flex Queue when playing with her so you can really hash out what she needs to do to learn the game more. If you keep grinding it out LIKE THIS in ranked, you're gonna demote to Bronze V, and her to Plastic II, before you start seeing even scores. She must be struggling with core fundamentals and what-not to be this bad in Bronze III.

You two just gotta git gud. No way around it. Riot's way of balancing out your elo like you're asking is by giving you weaker opponents after you tank your mmr, and I don't think any of us, between me, you, and the presumably lovely lady, would want that. =/
