MMR matching

It's fine

Ranked MMR vs Normal MMR is completely different (which is dumb). Someone can not play normals, hop in a normal match and get matched against people they were playing against when they first got lvl 30.

These were diamond players playing against silver players. It was really unfair.

you're right, its not fine, but at the same time riot has always sacrificed balance for match formation speed, and thats something that they wont ever give up.

the system needs work, but at the end of the day the game has to evaluate players somehow, and the match must start sooner or later.

and i might be a really good aram player, but suck at twisted treeline cheese mechanics. so should my aram MMR match my TTL MMR? no, but i should absolutely be evaluated in another way.

like if someone reaches diamond in ranked, maybe they should start at a higher MMR for normals if they start to play, ie low plat or high gold, just to see how it works. because im sure if they keep playing they'll win more and climb, but they probably just dont play often enough.

(back when i used to play xbox live/gears of war and i was epicly high in rank, i just couldn't find a match, ever, 20++ minutes going, soon to be 40 minutes, oh look the time i wanted to play gears in is now gone, time to shut down.....) its not that 10 players weren't found, its that players would quit after 2~5minutes of waiting and try again, and then the wed repeat, looking for more.... league at least has the luxury of countless more players to choose from.
