Pointless Role Education in Season 6?

The season 6 champion select changed the queue so that you're guaranteed one of two roles of your choosing. Would it still be necessary to learn all roles if this is the case? It'd be much easier for me to just focus on learning my primary and secondary lanes while retaining knowledge of the other lanes instead of learning 3 lanes that I'll likely never have to play.

I dont play mid often at all but i still know the basics about it and what they need to do. You can learn enough about a role without playing it to know what they should/could be doing. Wont makd you an expert at all but you will have a fundamental understanding.
