S ranks for non-meta picks

From Mastery FAQ

"It’s based on the champion and role that you just played in a game. So, for example, we look at Annie mid differently to Annie support. We take a series of performance metrics and compare how you do to all other players in your region in your champion / position combination. It is percentile driven - so earning a high score means you performed in the top x% of players on that champ in that position. The grade itself governs the point gains."

So if no one plays support AP Nasus would that make it easier to gain an S rank?

If literally no one else plays it, presumably you'd be bottom 100% and not get it :P

But presumably, if something is off meta in that it's only played by trolls who are obviously going to suck at the role, even doing a mediocre job should result in a high grade. Makes sense. Just keep it in normals please?

I played a support AurelionSol and got an S- on another account. Every other lane I've done I've got an A or lower.

Played Teemo jungle and got an S+ as well. I actually did really well that game, though.. so I don't know if it's because it was off-meta or I just really kicked ass.
