Naut isn't even played, why is he getting a nerf when he deserves a buff?

Did you read the PBE changes or just regurgitating what someone else said?

They lowered his shield... The only spell that gave him a chance in the jungle.

Learn to do math. It is significantly better now.

Actually the change can be looked at as a significant buff, especially to his lvl 1 as well as lvl 5 shield.

Some people have run the numbers and have concluded that the change is a significant buff, not a nerf.

7% of MAX Health is good. it means we can go back to being tanky titans

7% max health rank 1, 17% rank 5, with bonus health being included in total health(duh), and Nautilus having more than (300-85)/0,17=1264,7 health , it's a buff. More precisely, the shield become stronger when Nautilus has rank 5 Shield (level 9) and at least a ruby crystal, or at level 13 with zero bonus health.

Below level 9, it's more or less the same, depending on the amount of bonus health you purchase. With early rush of health, it would have been better the old shield, but rushing health early it's not really a good strategy, in general.

TL;DR= Level 1 slight buff. Level 2-9 slight nerf. Level 9 slight buff again (with ruby crystal). Level 13 slight buff even without runes and masteries. Level 14 onward it starts to really feel good.

Example: Level 18, 3,5k health.

OLD SHIELD: 300+15%bonus health= 300+10000,15=450 NEW SHIELD 85+17%Total health=85+35000,17= 680

230 shield is no tiny amount, and 3,5k health it's not hard to reach. 2038 base health. 500 health from Juggernaut. 500 health from Randuin or 450 from Sunfire. Another health item like Banshee for 450. 3% from juggernaut mastery. 3578,22/3628,22 depending on randuin/Sunfire.

It's an odd change, if you don't level W or don't buy health it's a buff.

But if you do it's a nerf until you reach W rank 5 and some items.

This obviously gives a better start in the jungle though.

Btw you have a mistake in your calculation, with 3,5K it's almost 1,5K bonus, not 1k. making the shield 525 not 450. so only a buff off 155.

However his offensive choices include item 3060 item 3151 item 3022 item 3027 item 3116

So you can easily add another 500-1350 HP (85 - 221 shield)

A champion having a high pick rate does not mean they are OP. A champion having a low pick rate does not mean they are OP.

Not played =/= not strong.
