Chat Restricted

So, as a friendly player reminding others not to curse and flame their team but instead encouraged the report of toxic players who curse at their teammates and verbally harassed them, I get outnumbered and reported and catch a 25-game chat restriction. My question is: Do Riot employee's even look at a game lobby before they issue bans? Do they realize they just listened to the same toxic people who I tried to report and instead reported me? I didn't curse, I didn't harass anyone, but my teammates sure did.Yes I got upset, yes I became tilted as any player who's playing a losing game does, however I did not blame or harass anyone. My chat log is PG, you should see what people are saying to me! The only reason I'll ever call someone toxic is because they are cursing at either me or someone else. So, let me know what you think, thanks.

I think lot of reports and the system picking up the word jerk made you a toxic player [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]

I also dislike the fact of this system being too automated

Asking for reports is bannable and is super toxic. I'm sure it's not just those 2 games.

"Kurasi: maybe go through a wall and make a play bud Kurasi: or is that asking too much?" Clearly provoking him

"Kurasi: falsely calling for my report is bannable" Not falsely.

"Good luck with your acc" Good luck indeed.

"Maybe go through a wall and make a play bud" was in response to a feeding Bard who cussed me out and called me words I should not post here.

"Falsely calling for my report is bannable" Not falsely. <---- That's your opinion. You weren't there and therefore don't know the context.

However, I should write that it is better to ignore toxic players rather then engage your energy with them in a TEAM GAME because you will simply invoke a report from them. Good day.

That is not my opinion. That is a fact. You were toxic and verbally abusive.

You weren't there and therefore don't know the context.

I have read the logs and context doesn't matter. There is a reason only your chat logs show there because you are not judged by who said what to you. Solely by what you said alone.

However, I should write that it is better to ignore toxic players

Next time do that instead of talking back and you'll see you won't get chat restricted ever again. Don't call for reports either. You're not doing any good for your team

Well you surely weren't toxic per se, but I can sense you were being a bit provoking in nature. Also, asking for reports is a reportable offense so I think that's most likely the cause of your punishment.

Also, you got a 25 game punishment is because most likely you've been punished before and got the 10 game restriction so you got the next step up in punishment.

Speaking from experience, it's best to calm down and not talk back at the people being toxic to you. You can't risk the next punishments because it's a two week ban, then a perma ban after that, and it takes 3 months if I remember right to take off a tier- meaning you need to be good for 3 months and if you get punishment after that time, it would only be a 10 game chat restriction instead of the 25 you got previously.

Being "a bit provoking in nature" should not lead to a chat restriction. And, this was in response to the toxic Hecarim who was falsely calling for my report so... f me right?

Being provoking is not only rude but can cause the enemy or your teammate to be even more toxic back, so best not to say anything.

But I think the system got you for asking for reports.

Being a "bit provoking" can lead to a ban, as you see. It's not a a ban based on those 2 games, those were just the triggers.

Every time you get reported the system calculates how abusive you were in chat and adds it to your counter. Once it hits a certain threshold a punishment is given.

A lot of small offenses can lead to a big punishment.
