Some changes and things for Kindred that I'd like to see...

Ever since I heard of Kindred Kindred, she's been my favorite champion since. I love to play Kindred, I lover her lore, her voice lines, everything. Unfortunately, she's not in the greatest spot, what with her being squishy and her movement speed being super slow. Granted, she's not supposed be some armored tank or anything, and she's a ranged champ, so slower movement speed makes sense. But unlike other ranged junglers, or squishy junglers in general, she doesn't have any sustain... at least, not ever since the nerf that took away her heal. I understand that it made her super powerful, but I now without it, almost anyone can come in and destroy you and all you can do is either try and fight, or run... and with her slow movement speed, that's not really going to do much. Now, to be fair, I'm not the best at the champion, but it feels like it's super hard to do much with Kindred right now, what with the Rengar changes, and the Shyvana changes, and just Kha'zix in general, not to mention Camille just being released, and being played Jungle instead of Top.

I'm not saying you have to do something that'll make as powerful as Rengar, but at least do a little something.

My suggestions are...

Buff her movement speed, because for an entity of death that supposed to "chase it until it dies," she's not really good at that. Do something to not make it so easy to capture her marked jungle camps, I remember Riot talking about this before, and I'm not quite sure what could be done that would make it fair, but I'm sure there's something. And finally, something for sustain. Not meaning bring back the heal on W, but something more reasonable, because the only thing that heals her is her ult... which also heals the enemy.

Also, to end this, I recently found a (probably old) skin idea for Kindred, which is Popstar Kindred. Which I think is an amazing idea. Now I know she already has two 1350 skins, so this can be put on hold for a good while, but Riot come on...

So, with that, I leave this to the community. I hope you all agree that this needs to happen, and if you don't, please tell me why? I want this to be worked out together, maybe with some counterarguments and insight that will help. I love this champion, and would be sad to see her fall into a state of non-playabilty.

Technically Kindred has one major advantage not many champions can pull off successfully less they use a niche kit:

"Kindred can literally go full utility building", this is mainly thanks to using her passive especially combined with item 1416 /item 1419 and unlike popular belief, summoner 4 i tend to find as too much of the oh shit i fked up button, a better player could op for summoner 6 for so many reasons including being able to use it much sooner and it easily resolves her 'early' issues of target chasing.

As for how she does utility building? She builds items including item 3046 item 3022 item 3085 item 3153, hell even item 3742 item 3053 are among some viable pick ups for her, some build orders tend to vary, but long as the enemy team does not outright super aggressive deny you stacks from the jungle, its relatively easy to hit what i like to call the min line for kindred % hp eating stacks depending on which phase of the game it is:

Early game: 3~4 stacks- Its not necessary to be stack fed early on so having just this many is a good start. Because i tend to find people who likes to gank 6 minutes into the game is silly, so having this many stack by 10 minutes is nice, bonus if you got them off of champion kills.

Mid game: 6~8- Also what i like to call my Enjoyment spot because once you can hit roughly 10% of a target's health as damage combined with blood razor and kindred's passive at the min, then you can pull off some powerful shred, kindred's E helps push that further with that small slow and the attack speed build up to fire off the 3 autos needed (which basically means at stack 8, excluding the AD dmg, you would of did 3 instances of 7.5% current hp shredding and 3 instances of 4% max health shredding on the target (12% basically) which you can pretty much say just those alone are gonna rip out 1/3rd of a target's health in one easy combo.

A jungler does not need to out right secure a kill every time they gank is what i find alot of people forget, if you can force them to recall back to base then that is plenty enough, and nothing forces recalls then a target who lost alot of health in a fast instant.

Late game: 10+ if you want to really push it. Since Kindred has no ceiling cap on how many stacks she can have she can easily become more of a monster then Veigar on some ends since she can scale on kills and gain % hp damage on her autos (which is why Runaan and non-damage but utility building makes her crazy) and her Q is gonna get flat damage per stack too as a extra boon.

just like assassins, she has to have a minimum line of feed to stay strong, but can snowball it if she can get fed especially every time she marks a enemy and grabs a jungle mark, plus like a certain Tristana, she 'can' becomes a insanely strong late gamer with nothing but being stack starved to ruin her. Her ability to bust towers may be a bit lack luster compared to the 'standard carry' but she can outright shred thru priority targets, pudge(health stacking abuse) tanks and even standard tanks are going to get shredded hard unless they can outright negate her % damage bonus with retarded hyper healing (easily resolved with some simple build changing or just picking up item 3123 for 800 gold early on) or retarded armor building (again easily resolved item 3036 or item 3033 if they are doing both healing and armor stacking).

This is why Kindred is my 'waifu' in terms of the jungle scene for gameplay, her kit breaks the natural 'scene' of a lot of instant kill or major harass junglers like LeeSin and RekSai, she isn't 'demanded' to be built tankie but she can easily twist it into her own style because she is one of the champions who love item 3022, which champion pick and build wise i 'rarely' ever see anyone build it outside of really nichie builds like a 'sticky Chogath build'. Plus you have to be smart on how you approach a gank which alot of junglers get to ignore because they can easily just instant dive, wall jump or plain put up some huge root/stun cc with ease to let them give a fk about approaches to secure a kill when they can just dive/cc to secure it instead.

Not even counting the fact her Q lets her hop small walls, she can be amongst one of the champions who can get dragon early by herself if she got sufficent gold and stacks, much easier if she manage to get blood razor early and her Q and W can let her play mind games easily with dodging skills with hit box areas or what not.

simple answer to your desire is remove the mark system completely which will allow to buff her elsewhere that system is highly feast or famine the part on champion is decent about the mark on enemy camps :

feast : the gain from the marks is super strong otherwise you would'nt even care about it which means if the enemy is bad and dont deny your marks you are way stronger, you can consider yourself fed just by that

famine : also she cant be a good duelist otherwise she would simply walk to the enemy camp and push him out so you have to sneak it out meaning you need to outsmart enemy jungler to steal that camp while he is elsewhere, which happens really often BUT it's highly dependent on the enemy team reaction, a good enemy team will deny your marks very easely with warding from mid, jungler and sup it's super easy and there is not much you can do about it again it's quite rare because people dont really care (mid laner in particular) my point being it's RNG there is little to no skill from your part involved the enemy either cares and easely deny you or they dont

But the mark is a huge part of what makes kindred kindred so the system will probably stay but she sure wont get up

my best tip is as @Avienal said go with ghost and play the utility build think more like a skirmisher than an ADC most of the time the enemy team dont deny your mark effectively paying attention when they go warding or when you see the enemy jungler is a huge help

A revamp of the mark could be : the "spirit" of the actual concept is close and there is no snowball involved

passive : your AA passively deals % max hp scaling with your level

the mark you put on champion : AA and Q damage on that champion are increased no bonus when killed

the mark put on enemy camps : killing the camp grants a strong health regen killing the camp makes a spirit wolf appear that will patrol and give you vision on the enemy (like the old smite on wolf) it will also gives you a buff that last 1min buff : your next AA on a champion will deal a strong bonus damage

+10000000 on the kindred skin in stockings :D
