Is Urgot still worth my time?

A few weeks ago I encountered an Urgot, I had no idea what he was about, and he totally shut me down (both of us being ADC). So recently I bought him to try him out and I just can't seem to get him rolling. I'm always behind. In talking with people, they say he has been nerfed to the point that he isn't good at much of anything anymore. I know every champ if played and built correctly can do great stuff, but I would like to know if Urgot is a good time investment at this point. I saw threads from 2011 with build guides, but I'm afraid those are outdated when they say that he is great. Thanks!

UrGOD is one of my favourite champions when you get good at him. He has high burst damage, an absolutely INSANE amount of early game pressure and can be built to play both Mid, ADC, Support, and Top. I would say YES, invest some time in learning UrGOD. Nobody expects him to have as much power as he does. Plus, you can build him any way you like. Tank, full AD etc. His ultimate is personally one of my favourite ultimates in the game, because if landed correctly, you can absolutely destroy any member on the enemy team. His only real weakness is he has absolutely no mobility, so boots as a second item is a must. In summary, yes! try UrGOD out. He has the power to fit into any lane and absolutely destroy, but barely anyone knows how to play him (or at least play him correctly). Have fun!

Also get that crabgot skin. It's literally the best. Urgot

Urgot was really strong for a brief period of time. He specialized in going bot lane and just making the enemy adc's life a nightmare. He was terrible as an adc himself, but by shutting down the opponent with an oppressive early game he could basically make the game into a 4v4.

It was incredibly un-fun so Riot nerfed the crap out of him and has left him in an undertuned state until they get to reworking him. They're kind of trying something with him right now by adding a fear to his ult.

He is only strong when played against people in your situation (no idea his kit, how to play him, or how to play against him). Because he is so rarely played, people often lose against him and think 'zomg he is so good', but in reality, the Urgot just beat up on an unknowing opponent. I bet you wont lose to him agan.

Urgot is a cock block adc hes strong vs one trick ponies and assassins because his ult stop them and they die from teamates and hes tanky with his build, hes better in a solo lane since they crapped on his range way back then in bot lane either you go lane bully with something like leona or you fap for late game with a janna and dont waste your time getting attack speed you Q kore than AA so get AD and mana
