Moral of the story: RIOT needs to come up with a way to not penalize ranked matches resulting in a 4v5 loss when an ally is AFK the entire match. It cost me a demotion, then I manage to climb back to promos and go 1-1 then yet again get another AFK teammate.

My proposed resolution: If all players have not left spawn by the 5 minute mark in the game, then that game is cancelled then and discontinued. We all love the free LP when the 4v5 is favorable but the other end of it is just too unfair. THOUGHTS??

No, I think that if the game a player is afk for more than 10 minutes then the game should not count for the losing team, but will still count for the winning team. Also, each player should get a 1 gold per 5 seconds bonus on the team that is missing a player. That way it prevents a losing abuse system, but it also encourages the game to continue and potential still be won 4v5 earlier on, but not so much that it is 100%. Makes it a 50/50 thing before everyone hits full build.

I just lost a game. I was fed as fuck on Akali and our Rengar just decides to quit at 15 mins when I'm 5/1 and never reconnect. Stupid Lissandra on our team wanted to push down sidelanes, something you do in a 5v5 but not 4v5 cause you're limited by time so we ended up losing around 40 min. We woulda won the 4v5 if the Lissandra listened to me and Ez, but nope I was shot calling the whole game and our score was us(30-15)them, and all of a sudden I guess in Lissandra's mind my logic was flawed.... I mean come on why the hell would you push side lanes, ain't nobody got time for that...

you can't fight a 4v5 so you split so they have to deal with it then other lanes shove in
