Aram needs to unlock every single champion

This is sort of a complaint thread. Aram tends to get boring when there’s the same few champions in almost every game.

Morgana, Blitz, Teemo, and Fiddlesticks are incredibly common and all annoying to play vs.

Players with lower champion pools have an advantage because they do not have as many champs. They’ll be able to play champs that they have more experience with.

What would the harm be if this was implemented?

Then they would have to change the name from Sorta Random All Mid to All Random All Mid.

I think the aram of Hots is better in general since all champ are unlock and then you have to choose brtween one of the 3 champ offer.

They need to scale your rerolls by the amount of champs you have. 2 rerolls with all champs unlocked compared to someone with 20 champs is just ignorant.

Also when you enter a champ select screen... The champ you had will carry over to the next match if someone dodges. This would reduce dodging by a fair bit since they get that champion again when they try to play ARAM after buffer time.

This would also screw over getting chests though, since you cant get a chest on a champ you dont own, so :/ uck

Eh. I own every champion and basically play ARAM (or rotating game modes) 90% of the time because I got bored of Summoner's Rift. For a while I thought I was at a disadvantage playing against people who had so called "ARAM accounts" with only the best champions but it helped me learn to be better (if not good) at most champs at least in this setting.

Even though there are a bunch of champs (ie Ziggs, Teemo, Vel'koz, Zyra, Sion) that are oppressive in ARAM it is more about the random combo that each team got and each persons ability to adapt to that. When I first started playing I thought that melee champs were just boned in this mode and had no chance. But between mark and learning how to play effectively and which items are most effective melee can carry just as well as poke champs. It really comes down to the luck of the dice. Even people with a limited pool of champs are going to get stuck with the free rotation champs sometimes.

Lots.

  1. I dont want to play champions i dont own.

  2. You already have a legion of people who reroll 2x then dodge if they dont get a good champ, theyll just do this far more and more often.

The biggest reason you see this isnt because of aram accounts, its because people reroll then dodge, meaning youre only going to get games where people get good picks. Especially since youre only going to RR either bad picks or champs you cant play.

If you want to see less of this, wed need a better solution to people dodging, opening all champs wont fix it, and it will make it frustrating for people who dont own complex champs and dont want to play them. Especially if theyre also not good in the game mode.

Smite does this. You also have to pay for rerolls with their blue essence or RP equivalents (though, to be fair, they offer a lot of in game ways to get their RP equivalent, so it isn't as bad as is it sounds).

It also has a higher rate of teammates who dc than just about any other mode. Take of that what you will

Ok sure but why3/16/2018, 10:54:03 PM2 votes

I just want to choose my champ in blind pick all mid tbh

It was never the point of ARAM to give you all champions- nothing in the game forces you to buy all the champions. If you want to own them all, that's your problem. I've not bought 10 or so certain champions that I don't want to play (mostly ADCs) and have no reason to buy them in League, period. Why do I have to be forced to play champions I don't like and didn't buy because I didn't like them?

That's not the point of ARAM, no matter how much the community complains it is.

ARAM only player here.

Not seen those champs in aaages. Rarely see the same champs consecutively.

The harm?

Someone might not buy Nunu because they think he's boring af. They get Nunu in ARAM, now they have to sit through 20+ mins of boring ass gameplay.

And what for?

ARAM is not competitive and it's way more dependent on comp, rather than individual player skill/champ pools.

At this point, i'm starting to think that Riot enjoys seeing people making ARAM-accounts. I can imagine them being like "Hey look, more accounts! This totally means that our game isn't becoming less popular! Right?"
