Vlad and the new patch (5.13)
The old WoTA with spell vampirism synergized well with Vladimir's Tides of Blood, acquiring him 8% increased spell vampirism as well as self-healing per stack. But now, as there is no spell vamp, Vladimir is only getting increased self healing from his E and 0% spell vamp (as there is no "base spell vamp" to increase). If my calculations are right, the spell vampirism was increased by ~8 unts with the old WoTA (it increased the healing of AoE dmg too). Back to my point, I think that the new item is not using Vladimirs E to its fully potenial. I feel that the increase of spell vamp, which tides of blood provides, is an important part of the spell, and not getting any benefit from it is a waste. There should be something which can fill that gap.
It was mentioned in the patch that healing will be slightly less with the new WoTA, but with a 4-stacked Tides of Blood and the old WoTA, Vlad got almost 30% spell vamp which is double as much as what it is now on single target spells, (even though its calculated before the opponent´s resistance), and AoE dmg got the same indirect nerf. Hence, I don't consider it as healing got "slightly less".
Also, prior to patch 5.13, The spell vamp of WoTA, Tides of blood, and the passive of Spirit Visage synergized with each other and greatly increased Vlads spell vamp and his hece healing which gave Vlad his charactaristic sustain.
I felt that the healing has been considerably reduced and the AoE dmg spell in particular is greatly effected since patch 5.13. Thank you for taking the time to consider my thoughts/feedback. It is by all means appreciated.
