Sick and tired of being disconnected during the middle of a game....4th time this week and it isn't my internet!

Try upgrading from WIndows 8.
I havnt been d/c in a long time... 4 in one week you sure its not your internet?
Riot server downtime is pretty rare, and theres usually loss prevented and associated notices explaining the situation when it does happen.
More common is an issue somewhere between your ISP and riots servers.
More common still is an issue specific to your setup.
