ADC Meta

The three main ADC's played are Tristana, jinx, and Lucian, with Corki gaining popularity. Vayne is also getting popular too, I don't know why people pick as much though, because she does scale strong into the late game.

But what I'm trying to say is for the other ADC's, are the ones that are "outclassed" like Varus, Sivir, and Ashe. Some good balanced ones are Graves and MF, but I see MF being a stronger choice because of her attack speed steroid, grievous wounds, and magic damage on hit. And of course Caitlyn is a good choice too, but she kinda falls off late game, mostly being a lane bully. Then there is Koggy, couple of months ago, he was considered a hyper carry, which is true now, but he takes EVEN longer to scale up because of his poor mobility and base 500 range.

But the top tier ones, have two of the following: Gap closers and steroids (attack speed). Sure other ADC's have these, but they aren't quite as strong as a double hit passive, dash, and movement speed boost (Lucian) or a big ass jump and 110% attack speed buff (Tristana). Nerfs do need to happen, imo Jinx needs one, but buffing the deemed "outclassed" ones need to happen as well. Like buffing Ashe's useless passive, because it takes a while to build up, and you're an ADC ffs, you're constantly in combat so it can't build up.

I am not saying that every ADC is terrible, because you can climb elo with any of them, but they are always outclassed.

Oh and nerf Nami.

Graves has been buffed hard, there's nothing more they can do without breaking him.

Ashe fills up her niche which is an utility ADC and has a good win rate.

MF is fine too.

only bad ADC is Varus because it's been ages since Riot actually gave him any meaningful buff.

But it is true that the top three outclass everyone else.

Jinx isn't really among the top 3...

Top 3 are, atm, Lucian, Tristana, Corki. And Caitlyn's always a safe and incredibly annoying pick.

What those four have in common is good mobility, good waveclear (AoE abilities) and good range on either autos (Trist, Cait) or abilities (Lucian, Corki). Add to that the specific strengths of the respective kits - lane bully (Lucian, Cait), hyper single target DPS (Tristana) or magic damage poke (Corki), and you'll see why they are jack-of-all-trades picks.

well to be fair kog has fallen a bit out of favor simply due to nerfs, you can't say top tier adcs must have gap closers and steroids when not so long ago kog proved that to be false, even twitch is seeing quite a lot of competitive play.

as to the majority of your statement,I hate to be that guy,but that is a rather trivial statement, the top tier needs nerfs, the bottom tier needs buffs, nothing new here.

your nami statement buffles me though,do you really enjoy playing vs leona/thresh/morgana/zilean more? at least nami can actually die...

Main reason Vayne isn't picked is because the other team can keep her down easily and in a lot of cases that I've seen her picked in worlds, its more because the other player is confident enough that they are "better" then their opponents more then they think she is the best matchup for the lane. Also late game, depending on what teamcomp she is against, her range is extremely bad compared to the likes of Kog/Trist so its just another minus for her. She is fine to use against people who aren't as good, though, as she has incredible outplay potential, one of the few ADC's with the ability to do so. The other ADC's you listed seem right except I'd say MF is in a poor place instead as she has no real identity in lane anymore as Draven/Lucian stole her lane bully role. The only thing about her left is her ultimate, though its a lot harder for it to fully lane compared to a lot of other champions, so its kind of... iffy to me. I would say Twitch is being used more then Jinx, though I'm just using worlds as a basis and not NA ranked, so not too sure about that. Caitlyn's late game is good, its her midgame that keeps her down as she is similar to Tristana, needing a few items outside laning phase (4 or 5) to actually start being threatening. Also unlike trist, she needs to bully out her lane, which is doable, just requires more work then tristana walking up to e+auto then walk away.

Really? No mention of Draven? One of the hardest hitting ADC in the ENTIRE game. =/ I'm disappointed in you.

You're close on the ADC meta, Tristi, Corki, Lucian, Caitlyn and Vayne are among the top from what I've seen. Jinx is nice due to how she can snowball, but is also a bit of a risky pick due to reliance on levels into her Q.

Yes, Ashe and Varus could survive buffs, this isn't to say that they're useless, just that their kits aren't as maxed out as they could be. Some tweaking may happen this next season, but don't expect hard numbers, expect it to happen a little at a time. Such as the recent Trist and Lucian nerfs, they will come out a little at a time until Riot feels they are in a good spot. (Whether you feel they are in a good spot matters less, Riot has more numbers in front of them than we do and can be much more certain of what changes need to be made, just have some faith and patience.)
