How to fix* Nocturne (*Make Him Competitive)

Nocturne is a champion that I have a fondness for and that many players have a liking for too. He is a unique champion who has not received much attention simply because he has always been just okay. I have a few Ideas on how to make our night loving friend more competitive in today's meta.
Doing this to Nocturne seems pretty difficult because his abilities are all key parts of what makes him, him, but I think I have a couple solutions.
Duskbringer: As far as this ability goes I think it is a good ability, but it is outdated and really doesn't lend itself to an "Assassin" playstyle, for now I would leave this be unless attempting a full rework.
Shroud of Darkness: This ability again is good, but it has some pretty key counterplay that comes with just being a spell shield. The first fix I recommend is allowing it to block empowered auto attacks to allow for Nocturne to survive against hard matchups such as Nasus
. Secondly I would give the reward a little extra Umph. The extra attack speed you get is good, but it really isn't noticeable because you are already whacking away at stuff.
Unspeakable Horror: My only grief with this ability is that most champions nowadays either kill Nocturne before this goes off late game or they break it before it goes off. I can't really think of anything for this other than that.
And finally Paranoia: My biggest change I think comes here. This thing needs to be figured out hardcore.
Firstly, it does next to no damage on its own (which is honestly just a personal problem for me).
Second, if this applied some sort of debuff/buff like, I don't know allowing Unspeakable Horror to be activated instantly on the targeted person, or maybe fearing the target on landing that would be gamechanging!
Finally is the vision. Personally I think that the vision denial of this is absolutely needs a buff! Maybe adding some more scare factor than just a darkened screen? My biggest Idea for this is to simply deny all vision of entities (Players, Minions etc) unless they are directly on top of the player while adding sort of a Rek'Sai
tremor sense affect so that they at least sort of know what is going on, (Would help with lore connecting Rek and Noc).
Anyway, I know that I suggested some big changes, but I hope that at least some of them have resonated! Feel free to leave a comment below and thank you for your time! -Comprehension81 [slayer-jinx-wink]
