Illaoi, Yorwick, Sett - are there really counters?

So, I play top lane. I have for quite a while hopping across many accounts intentionally testing the boundaries of the "flaming". I have only ever had one matchup that seemed impossible to win, and now theres three. Illaoi, Yorwick, Sett. Now, my champion pool is not extensive and I may not have the one champion that can counter them, but I have enough that there should at least be one.

Illaoi- i have heard time and time again that to counter illaoi, all you have to do is play Nasus. And, thats not wrong. Nasus definitely out scales everybody because its Nasus, but early your just a punching bag. "just play safe" my team tells me as i die under turret from an illaoi E that can now kill. "hide behind minions" i would love to except she q w's the wave and now i dont have any. even if nasus can beat illaoi late game, the rest of your team might not be able too. she can just flash ult and now your going into a 5v4 if you kill her but with half hp. her e and q can hit ranged bois like teemo or vayne or urgot. I once went against an illaoi who would get me about half, flash e and then ult the e and end up killing me from echo damage. In my opinion, you have to be more or less camped by a bruiser jg who has already gotten kills elsewhere in order to keep her in check.

Yowrick- this is a new one. I never really thought of yorwick as a threat until recently. The sheer amount of damage from his q is unreasonable. I mean he plays around his passive and ult y should he get a huge boost of aa damage. His minions are unrealistically strong for their spam ability and range with his e. his W, while late game would take a max attack speed adc roughly 1.5 seconds to knock down, can take a top laner 3 seconds to destroy. I recently played shen into yorwick, a supposedly good matchup. It was fine except that his minions could half health me and then once he hit 6 the game was over. His maiden was up probably 10, 15 minutes because he kept it near him. Nobody could fight him because it would be a 1v2. Yowrick really is like 2 champs in one. What are you supposed to do? You need someone with good aoe and range and dueling potential and sustan and tankiness do you not? because that doesnt exist except... well.. yowrick.

Sett- I have only ever played against sett once. I have perma banned him after that. I picked a ranged top laner because he isnt mobile. 4 things i noticed. 1- his base health seems fine for a non-mobile champ, but as point 2 will point out, hes not. So it makes it impossible to burst him down and lets him win most bruiser 1v1s early. 2- idk if it was me, but his base ms seemed really high. I would walk away from him with tier two boots, and he would catch me with tier one. 3- his passive regen is insane. with his already high base heatlh, you can't burst him, and with his insnane regen, you can't poke him out either. And he doesn't require mana, so he never really has to back except for items after he has destroyed you with his mega sheilds and huge true damage. 4- his auto attacks are kinda wack. I was playing someone who went hail of blades and rushed hydra. because of his passive he could get 6 auto attacks off incredibly fast, like in the duration of his e stun. Hail of blades aa aa aa passive aa q aa passive aa hydra aa passive aa.

idk just wondering if anyone knows any secret techniques besides soraka for dealing with these champs.

garen counters all the champions u list, he outscales sett and he can survive the yorick lane decently, and he can take ignite against illaoi and avoid her e by hiding behind minions and maybe using his q movement speed buff to dodge the tentacle slam, and use flash ignite silence from q to execute and stop illaoi from ulting

ok the winrate for garen vs yorick isn't good, but personally i feel like the lane is easy for garen , jax and yasuo all shit on yorick too but yasuo top is too hard to learn so i recommend jax

Alot of fighting Illaoi is just knowing the matchup. You want to punish her for taking bad fights and avoid tentacle damage and her pull. Play around your minions and unless you are absolutely positive you can kill her hard disengage when she ults.

As for Yorick you can go Jax to avoid the majority of his damage with counter strike and have an easy escape from his wall, Shen also works.

Setts new and definitely a bit overtuned at the moment, but Garen can really mess him up, most of fighting him is avoiding the sweetspot of his haymaker.

Illaoi is weird because she's an incredibly bursty piece of shit and super fucking strong early/mid but late game she falls off. The problem is, the game is usually already over if Illaoi took all three of your top towers, is hard-pushing mid/bot and destroying the rest of your team. Unless you're in comms, there's no way in soloque you could survive that long without people bitching at you and throwing the ff out there. If you say no to surrender, this is when they usually give up their hopes and just throw the chance that they have and throw the game entirely. Sorry I went off-topic. My point is, YOU CAN BEAT ILLAOI LATE GAME! Late game you can kill her and she isn't as powerful as she once was early/mid. She's basically ... not useless per say but she's just there and not really significant like someone else on the enemy team is.

yes there is also ways to play vs them if you are not playing a counter that does not lead to you feeding.
