Why do people build essence reaver on Ashe?

What does it provide that makes it so the majority of high elo ashe players buy this item? Is it the CDR? Why does ashe need the CDR if so?

She needs CDR to spam volley and have her ult available more often

She needs mana sustain because she runs out of mana if she spams volley a lot

I assume the crit for slowing movement speed, I only build it if I need mana on crits.

Crit, MP and CDR for spamming frost shot and doing ashe things.

you pick Ashe for her initiation and utility which essence reaver actually enhances due to the amount of CDR it provides as well as making it so that she always has some mana to use her spells whenever she needs it

I did a lot of testing on this and:

cdr for volley and ultimate is great. The e is nice too. 2)volley has a 1.0 AD ratio and Q has a 1.4 ad ratio. 3)it's actually a major dps increase because of the high Q ratio as opposed to ie double crit
