Turn off skins option

So with riot wanting to make League "more friendly" to new players, one of my friends who is recently new to League came up with a good suggestion. That is to be able to have an option to turn off skins either all, enemy teams or everyone else's but your own skins. So that new players don't get overwhelmed and confused with all the different skins that look similar and all the different particle effects on skins. What are peoples thoughts on this?

Also if rioters could comment that would be cool

It would devalue the skin. A big reason why I buy skins is to show them off, it would feel terrible if I didn't know whether the enemy/my allies could see them or not.
